Can anyone advise me on a great value for money setup for a beginner

Cut down massively on my smoking but main problem now is break times at work , the habit of going outside for a chat and a smoke is just too great so going out with one of these might just do it .

Check out the starter kits on www.vapeland.co.uk or www.vapegear.co.uk - both excellent service. Make sure you get 2 batteries, so one is charging whilst you use the other. I found I was most likely to lapse if I couldn't use the e-cig.
Also remember to adjust your smoking technique - you need to puff and fill your mouth with the vapour, like a cigar, than inhaling directly into your lungs...

It's now been 11 weeks without the stinkies for me - been brilliant surprisingly easy, except when my charger died and I had to wait for a new one... So pleased with myself and glad I took the jump! I now enjoy vaping far than I ever did a smoke.

Good luck!

So what you are saying is that when you vape you dont take the vapour into your lungs ie on a normal cig, you take a lug for say about 2 secs and inhale into your lungs right?? But with vaping you dont do that??.

Reason i ask is because i used my old e cig the other day and i normally tend to take a lug for about 4-5 secs then directly inhale into my lungs. Not sure if this is the correct way or not as today ive been googling on different methods of how to 'smoke' one of these e cigs properly.

Reminds me that i need to order some more bubblegum flavour e liquid as the one i have is running out now. I also have vaped Blueberry but found it didnt agree with my throat, ended up giving me a sore throat :/

Ah thats about the same for me too. I didn't make a point of noticing the exact date, but I ordered the Vapeland starter kit on the 16th April, finished the pouch of GV that i had and not had a single one since!

I ordered some wire and wick yesterday.... Going to attempt to make my own head for the Protank. This may or may not go well, I'm not known for my patience! lol

I got some 2mm silica and 0.2mmKanthal as thats what everyone seems to recommend for the PT, sound about right?

@Yas786, I vape much the same way as i smoked, though i do draw a little slower and for longer generally. :)

Cool, i was told when i bought my e cig originally that i should draw for at least 4-5secs to get a nice hit and vapour.

Cant wait for my Provari with the kanger pro tank set up to arrive tommorrow.

That sounds about right. I inhale into my mouth for about 5 seconds, then draw that into the lungs before exhaling through my nose. By exhaling through the nose you get a better taste of the flavour.

Again thanks :)...guess ill try a few methods and see which one works for me best.

My Vamo arrived from Fasttech today.

Good lord, that is impressive! :D

With a Kanger Pro Tank on top it really kicks out some vaper!

It's been a long time since I've had a head rush from nicotine, even when on the real ones! :p:D

Well ive been told by the missus that since shes buying me this kit, then i have no choice but to give up the cigs and start vaping especially if its a more 'healthier' way of smoking ie no crap going into my lungs and also the fact that my clothes and fingers dont stink of cigs :/

Fingers crossed this works for me otherwise ill be out on the streets and another divorce waiting to happen:p:D

For me the easiest way to move to the e-cigs was to smoke during the day, then vape at night time to get used to it, then when the weekend came, i stopped the smellys completely.

Are they that much better? I've been looking at an eVic and that seems to have more features.

I have an Evic, they can be founf for £55-£70 so dont pay the high prices i have seen on some sites. http://www.evape.co.uk/electronic-cigarette-starter-kits/joyetech-evic-vapour-intelligent-cigarette-kit.html
I like my Evic and also like the screen info etc... but it does have some drawbacks.
Pros
Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage
Screen Info
You can set up custom profiles for different tanks/atomizers (eg. u can set it up to vape at 10w for 1 sec and then drop to 8w for rest of draw)
If you are into facts, the MVR on the PC lets u see all the info u want, how many puffs, what wattages, update firmware, etc....
Battery level indicator and charge up from a pc or plug without removing the battery.
Cons
Can be 'fussy' with some tanks if there is not a good connection.
The tubes are a bit flimsy, looks like most advanced Evic users tend to buy custom SS tubes like from Kir Fanis, Gr Modders etc... going rate £40-£50.
Has been known for the head to decapitate itself it knocked hard

There are lots of reviews out there, so do your homework first

I do exactly the same lol.
How you getting on with your DIY mixing?
Also you were lucky to get your nic through, now it looks like it will be banned by RM :(

That's exactly what I thought when I got my vamo and protank :D

questions regarding cheap CE4

I'm very new to vaping. Please can somebody answer a few questions i have regarding the EGO-CE4?

I have two of these, both purchased very cheaply from the auction website.

The one on the left apparently has a 1100mAh battery and the one on the right has a 900mAh battery. They feel and look identical to me. They both came in identical blister packs which do not show the battery rating so i only have what the sellers stated to go by. (the back of the card insert lists options from 650mAH to 1300mAh but nothing is selected).

-Is there any way to tell mAh rating?
-They both have the CE4 clearomiser. Can this be replaced with a CE5 or newer clearomiser when the time comes to replace them?
-Which thread do these batteries use?

I've been a bit lazy on that front. All I've done so far is some testing some of the concentrates as standalone flavours and mixed up some menthol and EM crystals. I'll be doing some at the weekend!!

How is your mixing going? Have you tasted the vanilla custard and compared it to GVC?

They use Ego threads, so any Ego device will fit eg. CE5;s, Kanger T3, Kanger Protank etc...
think the only way to tell about the batterys is which one lasts longer between charges, as the 1100mAh should last a little lionger

I made a bit of a boo boo lol, i forgot to add some vanilla deluxe to the mix, so still waiting for it to steep :(
I have been making quite a few mixes but some are a bit meh.
My favourites so far are capella Lemon & LIme and Capella Harvest Berry which are both lush :)

I did notice your thread on AAEC. Some recipes are just Capella's VC and EM. I'll probably try just that and also P's recipe to compare.

I've got the lemon&lime and harvest berry. I think I'll make some of those at the weekend. Did you use 20% with both of those?

Yeh with my original one i used to smoke it all the time but also smoked the odd cig as well. Would have kept at it but i was getting fed up of the leaking and the battery not lasting more than an hr or so.

So now ive invested in some proper kit ie the provari which i should have tomo and hoping that will last me sometime and get me off the cigs once and for all. I dont mind vaping for the rest of my life if need be:p.

BTW looks like im going to need some juice, any of you chaps have any recommendations as to which ones i should get ie from which place. Dont want to end up with rubbish juice that clogs up my provari etc.
