Just a quick update as promised. I've had my Vaporshark rDNA40 for about 4 days now running with the Kayfun which is coiled with Nickel wire and a cotton wick.
My previous experience of the Kayfun was a bit love & hate tbh. When it wicked correctly the taste and vapor production was exceptional, unfortunately the juice didn't always seem to want to wick which led to burnt wicks and dry hits. The solution at the time was to take primer puffs constantly to draw the juice to the wick.
Now with the rDNA using the temperature control and a Nickel coil I have fell in love with the Kayfun, it is perfect!
I've used 10 wraps of NI200 which comes out at 0.19 ohms, vaping at 15W with the temp control set at 450. The same problem exists with the juice flow, but now it just doesn't matter. As soon as the wick begins to dry out the temp control drops the power to allow the juice flow to catch up.
Vapor quantity seems improved and so does flavour (Probably because I'm not using a burnt wick
)I'll probably get itchy for a new RTA eventually (Like the look of the Rose), but for now I've found perfection.

Also just started a bottle of Five Pawns Signature. Tis lush! although I don't think it will replace Scopes Apple Tart as my all day vape. Gotta love that tart 
She normally smokes 10 a day of John players and has been given 0.8% liquid. She loved one called American Red the last time !
Do you have any tips i could pass to her? What strength and maybe some flavour she may like depending on what the smoked?

I averaged around 10 a day and started off on 1.8% but I only vaped around 1ml a day. If I was on 0.8% I'd expect to vape probably 2-2.5ml a day so don't be shocked if she goes through quite a lot quite quickly.

I'm posting on behalf of the mrs (i've never smoked so dont know anything about it)
She's just bought a Kangertech EMOW kit with 5 coils. Are these any good?
She normally smokes 10 a day of John players and has been given 0.8% liquid. She loved one called American Red the last time !
Do you have any tips i could pass to her? What strength and maybe some flavour she may like depending on what the smoked?

The kanger emow kit should be a better kit than the ego kit that I; and most people start with. I too used to smoke about ten a day, and I'm on 1.8% ejuice. I tend to find myself going out and vaping more but in much shorter periods at work. So rather go out for 15 mins, two/three times a day, I'm going out three/four times but for 5-10 mins. But I npdid hp get head rushes when I first started.
Really it's up to her if she wants to vape instead of smoking or try use vaping to stop smoking.
Bought a vamo v7 from slowtech. Sick of the floating pin grommets crapping out eventually so the adjustable pin should solve that. As long as the board doesn't crap out on me then it should be a winner. My SVD is just wrecked, but it has had a good run.

Been getting a less than satisfactory Vape lately, So decided to take it apart and clean all my contacts and give it a clean with some Isopropanol much better its now back to chucking them clouds

People who use VW/VV mods... what do you Vape at? I Vape around 9 - 13w, depending on the time of day, juice, atty and colour of the moon.
More and more of the mods are going higher and higher, I personally prefer something that does my varible range well, than something that does 260 watts and I never go that high.
Just seems a waste of r&d and casg for a few people that might want such a device.

7 - 12w with my 1.2-1.4ohm kayfun depending on juice and how long til I can charge again...
Up to 20w on my 0.7ohm dripper.
I agree with you though, I can't fathom the need for all that power. I am sure someone will be a long to explain why people do though.
I think it's for really low ohm builds, to still have a dense, cool, flavoursome vape.

I vape at 16-30w, I generally run a .4-6ohm dripper, I bought a RBA but didn't get on with it I much prefer the simplicity of dripping... Plus choice of being able to switch up liquids

So I've been using my Sigelei 100w and Aspire Atlantis since last Friday when it arrived, and man is that a beastly combination!
I normally vape Griswold's 70PG/30VG 20mg juice from Vape Escape, but they seem too harsh in my new setup. I currently run it at 18-25w depending on how I'm feeling, but it is too throaty and harsh on the way down. Sometimes the liquid tastes burnt.
I've just ordered some Suicide Bunny 12mg stuff, which is a 30/70 blend. Hopefully that will make the vape less harsh. I have no clue how someone could vape at higher wattage, as I've had a few blasts at 70-100w for fun on the Sigelei and burnt my mouth and the liquid was dire tasting.
Does anyone else run a similar set-up? I feel like I've gone overkill on my mod, for the Atlantis that I'm using.

When you get to sub-ohm vaping you really need to knock down the mg's, I used to do 18mg in my kanger pt2 at 1.5ohm, but now I drip I can't touch anything above 6 on it.
Try VG heavy juices. 70VG/30PG. The PG gives you throat hit (as well as nicotine levels). Might help on the higher power settings too. Plus VG produces more clouds
What ohms coils you using? 50w+ imo, would be for seriously low sub-ohm builds. Like less than 0.3ohms

I also lowered the nicotine, as I hear that running it at higher wattage used more liquid, hence higher nicotine amounts per inhale. It wasn't the cheapest liquid, either! £16.99 for 30ml, whereas I'm used to paying closer to £12.99.
I'm running 0.6ohm coils right now. I guess to summarize, I'm just trying to find that "sweet spot" where I am 100% happy with my vape and don't feel the need to get more kit

See how the new juice goes, i found higher VG helped a lot especially at higher watts.
Also there never comes a point where you will not get new kit

Five pawns gambit is lush. Ive got a full tank on my kayfun now and its lovely. I prefer it to scopes apple actually but its a bit to pricey to become an ADV

I have a 1.4ohm build on my kayfun and vape around 16w usually. I like a nice big 3mm diameter coil with a thick slice of Go ken doh cotton in it
