If you want a 'realistic' experience (big throat hit and easy drawer) you can't go wrong with a 510 battery of your choice with a 306 atomizer (Olympic as on ecig wizard or cisco as found on iVapour) with a drip tip.

Yes you have to drip everytime you want a vape, but this is less effort than finding your fags and lighter but you get loads of vapour, a very easy drawer and lots of flavour.

I use carts sometimes but I just find the drawer a little tight on them.
 
For sure, the 306 is the best atomiser I've ever used too. I used them for a good 6 months, the flavour really does come through fantastic. But just got sick of dripping every few draws, not practical when out and about, and at times it can get very messy.

These days just got into the routine of Boge carto's, still great flavour, good vapour, nice smoky like draw...though not in same league as a 306, but far more convenient, for me anyway. A good compromise. and cheap:D

but try them all, they all have pros and cons.
 
Received my items today and so far I'm very pleased.

Started with the aniseed flavour as I was so curious to try it out and it is a very pleasant taste but wasn't really giving me much of a hit and there didn't seem to be that much vapour. I was a bit concerned that the Bud Ego wasn't going to cut it for me.

However, I then tried the USA Mix! Wow, tastes just like a proper cig but nicer and the vapour produced is very satisfying. Probably going to prove to be my regular juice I would say.

Will try the menthol tomorrow but I gotta get my hands on the red bull juice, I just have to try that one.

Sounds crazy I know but I'm excited by all this, like a kid in a sweet shop. I'm even thinking about designing and making some sort of a desk stand to organise and store all the gear I'm likely to end with lol.

Almost 5 weeks without a real cig because of this miracle invention. I just wish I had tried it much earlier.
 
Darn it, I bought a spare atomiser for the 510 Titan from TW and it appears to be duff, it doesn't flow very well and there is virtually no taste coming from it. Is it common to receive a duff atomiser or was I just unlucky?

Is there a better atomiser I should be going for? Thought I'd ask, may save some coin on trial and error.

I'm also looking for a nice smooth tobacco vapour, quite strong I like the throat hit :)

Give brand new 510 attys a real good blow out from the threaded end to get rid of the primer, to begin. Drop 5-6 drips in initally and fire it up for a few seconds, then blow it out again and go from there.

Stubborn ones can take a bit of working in, but duff ones are certainly possible. If you think it's just not any good, fire the retailer an email and they'll usually ship a replacement.
 
TWs normal price is really high so you do need to get a really big discount before it works out cheaper. Like Knight said it is what other shops class as the 'premium' kit. It will be discounted at a lot of places since the new 1.5 version is out / coming out and it can take 3 amps before cutting back the volts, so will let you vape low resistance and duel coil cartos at high voltage. I just thought I'd point it out to people wanting a cheap veriable voltage device.

Edit the same kit (just about) is 55.99 on the ECigWizards site. So 40% off should make it cheaper I think.

ok so that kit comes with 2 x 3ohm 510 bridged atomizers. An atomiser can be used in 2 ways. 1 = dripping 2 = with a cart (which is what you linked to). Now dripping will give you the better experience, but you have to drip a few drips of eliquid on to the atty after every few draws. I believe carts mute the flavour, so wouldn't be my recommendation.

The other thing you can do which would be better is to get some cartomisers. There are LR, SR, HR (low, standard and high resistance) or DC (dual coil). Low and DC are the strongest throat hit. SR would probably be best to start as you have the lavatube which is VV (variable voltage). However, I can't see any standard cartos on the TW (totally wicked) site.

i need to stop smoking, i did vape for a few weeks, but lost my ecig somewhere, i have loads of liqs but need new kit... what would you recommend?

do you mean i just drip the liquid straight onto the thing that lights up/burns? :)
 
Yes mate. You get a 1 x Chrome finished drip tip. This goes on top of the atty and allows you to drip the juice down inside. It will take a bit of practice to know how much to drip, as you can flood it, or burn it dry. Start off by trying 3 drips from the e-liquid bottle, a few draws of vapour, 3 drips, a few draws, 3 drips, etc.

Depends what you are after mate. I currently have a stainless steel CUBE and a mini lavatube. The cube is great as its fully mechanical so no wires inside or anything to go wrong, but it is very big and heavy.

The lt is great due to its size, but with only 850mah 18350 batteries, it does mean I have to carry a spare bat.

Then you have the ego style batteries which are thinner again.

Just don't go for the cigarette style ones
 
will smoking/vaping become a cool thing to do once again? Kids will be on them soon.

It's good that it's getting people off the bad stuff, i can just see it becoming a new cool addictive trend in it's own right.

Guys,

Forgive me for not reading though 57 pages, but I'd like some advice please. I've been off the ciggies for 14 weeks, using patches but also the Nicolite electronic cigarettes from Tesco, however at £7 per 3 refills it's becoming an expensive habit in its own right.

Can anyone reccomend as follows;

  1. A starter kit for a heavy user (ex 20-25 a day smoker), something powerful that gives me a good hit at the back of my throat like a real cigarette
  2. A refill that tastes something like a Lambert & Butler, you know that slight vanilla sweet taste you get with a 'good' cigarette? From what I've read the Nicollite ones are some of the better tasting ones with folk trying to recreate the same taste from various mixtures. I've tried the 'Vapestick' ones from Tesco and they are disgusting in taste.

i find it all confusing. so many setups and bits. different voltage and atomisers. i just wanna buy a GOOD kit with a spare battery and all i have to do is top up my fluid. what would be a good ALL in one kit... out the box?
