The Walking Dead thread

I completed this in two sittings, anyone who needs to go at it in 'short bursts' needs to cup their manhood and check if it's still there. :p
 
I still haven't finished this after it lost my save after chapter 2. I might go back to it one day, but I wasn't as enthusiastic as some about it tbh. A good game definitely, but I'm in no rush....I'll probably play through it all in a week when I am off work some time.

I had a similar problem and used a fix from the steam forums. I had to move the "prefs.prop" file from my documents to the steam apps folder.

Had to do this in between each episode, otherwise it wouldn't see my saves.

Same here, quite annoying that they haven't fixed this by now.

I just finished it too. Very sad :(

What an amazing game! Very well written. Apparently there will be DLC for it soon called 400 Days.
 
currently watching the series, shall have to pick the game up next :) though when its cheaper.

The series is pap, and is set in an alternate universe to the comics & the game. If you think the series is even marginally good, the game & comics will blow your mind.
 
The Walking Dead 400 Days DLC has been officially announced and will be available in July :D

Jesus this game is harsh. :eek: :(

I wish they'd gone for more gritty, realistic graphical style, though. It would have hit home harder I think.

I absolutely love Lee and Clementine's characters. :D
 
regarding the 400 days from what interviews i seen at E3 it looks like its basically 5 seperate stories. They are all set at different times during the outbreak from day 1 to day 400, they can be played in any order and therefore on your first playthrough you may get the story told not in chronological order :)

They also hinted at some of the chars from season one making an appearance but not sure if this is as a token cameo or whether they have an active role.

Each of the 5 stories lasts roughly 15-20mins of gameplay so its not gonna be a big time investment but it should bridge that gap in terms of teh story between Season 1 and the Season 2 which is due before xmas iirc.

All I can say is Kenny is a knob! He's really getting on my nerves now - I thought we were bros! :mad:

The losses he has goes through man,

think I'd be a bit arsey if I lost everyone close to me in the space of a few minutes
 
Picked this up for a few quid in a sale and got round to playing it a few days ago. I'm upto episode 5 now (which I havent started yet) and have really enjoyed the game. The whole dairy farm place sealed the game as one of the best I've ever had the luxury of playing.

Yeah but him not helping to find Clementine just because I chastised him for smashing Lenny's brains in is bloody annoying!

If I have another playthrough, I'm gonna kick his **** into next week!

Also, I think this is more of an interactive story than a game in all honesty. Not even needing to be accurate to kill stuff with the gun, what's that all about? :)

Still, it's brilliant entertainment and I got it cheap in a Steam sale. Very pleased!

And poor Clem... I left her to make up her mind what to do. She didn't shoot me?

I really hope some of the characters return for season 2.
