The Walking Dead thread

Is it in the savegame directory?

If its there, I'm wondering if its worth copying across to the Default folder in the game directory?

Thanks for the suggestion mate, I've already tried this to no avail.

Looks like I'm going to have to play each chapter using the pre-determined decisions. It's a shame really, but it doesn't spoil how atmospheric and grasping the game becomes, even if people do rise from the dead given the decisions made in previous chapters ^^

Disappointing that they don't appear to have addressed this issue yet, as its obviously affected a lot of people and has been dragging on some time.

The story is the only reason I persisted with it, as I find some of the game play elements a little annoying too

Hope you enjoy it:D I hope to finish episode 5 tonight

For anyone who wants to use the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller on Windows 8 - you need to copy a file called dinput8.dll into the main Walking Dead Steam folder, then it will work. My Steam Folder was located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\the walking dead

I've uploaded the file to here for anyone who wants it. Should be clean but please virus scan to be certain:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/lrojss

It just needs to sit in the root folder.

Have just gotten over the fact I have completed this :p wow, I was massively put off by it looking like Heavy Rain and feel pretty rubbish that I only paid a few quid for it. The story is so gripping and saddening (although annoyingly linear in places) that I don't think any other game will come along and beat it. It's beaten Metal Gear as my number 1 storyline in games/movies/books etc.

Never have I cared about a character before like I did Clementine and I probably never will again, really amazing stuff.

I will defo be buying the next season and playing each episode as it's released. Quality games and game developers like this need to be endorsed and supported.

Yeah have to agree, amazing game. More developers should look at how well this did especially considering its cheapish price. They should take a leaf out of their book there.

Ive got to say, i bought the humble bundle pack yesterday, and what a pack it was. I played the walking dead not expecting too much to be honest. Ive done the first 2 episodes and it has completely blown me away. I have never before been pulled into a storyline like this in my life, episode 2 made my heart beat so fast, i was almost frightened of what was happening, if you have played through that you will know what i mean. I just can't belive how intense the story is, and any game that can pull me in like that to me, is just spectacular. Hats off to Telltale Games, they have once again made a fantastic intense game which deserves massive recognition.

Episode 3 tonight, can't wait :)

I will definetely be getting season 2 when its released. The first season was a truly excellent game. Its rare you play a game where you become so emotionally invested in the fates of the main characters.

i just got a shed load of telltale games including this from humble bundle and i paid less than £4 for the lot .You can link them through steam too :P

There are some details on S2 on the wiki page (to be taken with a pinch of salt though, I would think)

The release dates of the first were quite a way off schedule so I'd guess a Christmas time release. Hopefully they have a much bigger budget this time around given how popular it was and how many awards it won.

Season 2 is the second set of episodes of The Walking Dead Video Game. It was confirmed by Telltale Games in July 2012 that they are currently working on Season 2 of the game sometime this year, due to the big success of the game. Season 2 will have five episodes like Season 1. [1] In this season your choices from Season 1 may possibly affect Season 2 by way of Save File Transfer. [2] Telltale has promised Season 2 will have less bugs. TellTale Games has confirmed that they are working on a Fall 2013 release for Season 2.

I've played the first two chapters now. I agree with a couple of friends of mine, they say they can only play the game in short bursts, they can't take any more! It really is an intense game.

I've been told Chapter 3 gets darker.....
