Bang on. The media are a fickle bunch and by their definition, based on their run of results, Man U are a club in crisis.

Next they will be telling us Portsmouth are going bust....

That said, our season is a write off.

Because the FA Cup has become devalued in recent years. Top clubs care about the Prem. and the Champions' League far more, because they have more money in them.

For the mid-table clubs, it's their only viable route into a decent European competition so they actually care.

I can understand the Carling Cup, but the FA Cup should be a priority - especially to a team who are expected to win cups and haven't in the last 5 years.

I just don't understand why he would field a weakened side when it's probably their best chance of silverware (especially with Man Utd going out earlier).
