Agreed! It's no Latour, so get yourself something nice on the go and pop it open. I'd decant early morning and give it the day to open though. Will make the world of difference. (if it's not buggered!)
Ah good to know! I was assuming it would be treated much like a younger wine, so thanks for the education! Everyday is a school dayI would do the opposite! 95 Léoville will likely be in the late part of its drinking window and if not stored poorly that will have accelerated. I'd probably give it 30 mins with the cork out and then have a taste. Too long open and poorly stored I would expect it to fall apart faster than normal.
I've already come up with a new dating app in my 3 days being off work... this is why I shouldn't be allowed time off!! I've redone my office, been to ikea and everything. Made a christmas wreath and garland (never done that before but it's bloody amazing!) and I'm now officially Lord Ross Alexander Jones (having bought one of those stupid things off the internet) so yea... it's been 3 days. Wait until tomorrow! I'm building a 2 stroke push bikeI see @randomshenans is spamming GD now he has time on his hands
Good choice! It's a nice bottle.i've ordered some of Sessantanni Limited Edition Vivino’s 10 Year Anniversary Old Vines Primitivo di Manduria 2016 and can't wait to try it!
**** you! I need Champagne in my life tbh.Just having the Ruinart now. Forgot how good this stuff is.
It's not bad at all, just I think there are a couple better for the money. I probably have some downstairs somewhere and wouldn't think twice about gettign it out when people were here.Ah shame, the shop owner was pretty complementary about it, and i was optimistic, but as you say the reviews aren't great.
very subjective as well isn't it?I think you have to take Vivino reviews with a pinch of salt anyway, they are almost always too high.
Do me proud!!I feel like we're having to make up for @randomshenans and @Tuppy_Glossop who usually fulfil my wine purchasing needs!
For the money it's very very good. I really rate the Delamotte BdB but it's about 45-8 per bottle so you can't knock that price.Gosset BdB is absolutely wonderful.
Completely agree19 Crimes is a strange one for me. It's clever marketing for what appears to be substandard wine. The standard "Red Wine" is non descript. The "Uprising" I tried at the weekend was intensely sweet - so much that I looked up sugar content to see what extras had been added. To me its marketed towards people who don't like red wine - as strange as that sounds. Uprising was easy drinking and after half a bottle it went down well, very smooth. I see they are promoting a Snoop one too with...candied fruit pieces?
