According to bioeaware they were going to do a lush world with lots of colour and tree's but felt the players were not really interested in that and wanted more time spent in combat so something awesome happens.

so is the witcher like a moderen version of oblivion? ie is it the same sort of gameplay or is it a bigger version of dragon age ?

Looks pretty great.

I got The Witcher in the Steam sales but haven't got round to playing it yet - would you advise I play through it before this one comes out?

What annoys me in the witcher was the quests that required you to hand them in, but the guy was never there, like sigfreid who was actually in the swamp not in his quarters that the quest marker was showing. They could have put something in the quest log saying when the guys would be there, another example is the huntsman in chapter 3.

I'm always hearing praise for The Witcher from my brother after he played it at a friend's house. I'm waiting for him to install it so I can see what all the fuss is about but he's being a massive peach* :mad:

Well, they attempted a console version of the first one and look how far that got. From the looks of things they are really focusing on the PC first and the consoles will be an afterthought, much like most games these days except in reverse.
