The Witcher 2 - Thread

4850 cant be recommended card power for this game!

Too low?

No, 4850 seems fine for high details, just not max.

Recommended =/= max settings.

Theres hardly ever been any games over the last few years that even come close to requiring the potential that the 4800 series has.

Wasn't going to get this for a while, but I saw what the premium edition actually contains. It's fantastic for the price of £25.

One question, is it a pre order thing only?

Wow, those screenshots brought a tear to my eye :D. Move over Crysis we got a new kid on the block for bringing PC's to there Knees. Hope someone does a thread on The Witcher 2 UBER SETTINGS benchmarks

I dont think it is a pre order only thing, its more like the Witcher Enhanced Edition but having it from day 1.

I dont get why you wouldnt pre order this game though, how much more epic does a game need to be to make you want to preorder it? :p

I dunno, can I play through it while mashing just one button with super flashy combat and just stay in one area?

So you can actually import your Witcher save into Witcher 2?

What do you get for doing that?

No idea, but i really can't be bothered to finish the first one, so i was hoping you could use a save from around half way through. Like with the DA games. you could import a save in DA2 from DA1 from any point in the game, it would just import those decisions already made and leave the rest as canon, ot you would choose in a menu.

Some were saying parts of the story will be altered, and you get questions at the start of the game if you don't have a saved game but you did finish the first. Dunno if it's true or not, was mentioned some pages back.

Characters behaviour changes relative to your choices in the first game and you also keep some items. Raven armour is one example.

Turning 18 in 2 weeks...

Would rather get a physical copy but the damn I.D checking game store clerks would be on me like a rash.

It seems that Game/HMV are selling W2 for £25 and Steam is currently selling it for £30...

What's up with that? I'd just buy it on Steam if there wasn't any price difference.

Hadn't even heard about this game until a few hours ago, but reading some previews and watching some gameplay footage has completely sold me!
