The Witcher-Official Thread

Im halfway through chapter 2 but I feel like I have to do every quest so each chapter is taking me ages.

This is most def. my game of the year (unless mass effect is as good as they say) and I don't think I a, going to buy another game until this one is completed.

My only gripe is getting enough cash to buy the books for potions and monster info once you need to buy 3 or 4 of those it adds up quickly :(

Spolier 1 funny bit about that tavern wench is all the nosie she was making made the locals think the Mill was haunted :D
 
Been doing nights this week so lifes been eat, sleep and work... soon to be on my five days off which will consist of Witcher, eat and more Witcher. Trying to take the game as slow as possible coz i know ill have to wait another 6 years before a game this good comes out again (Deux Ex being the last)... or maybe Dragon Age will cut it.

SPOILERISH ACT2 BEGIN

Ive come across a quest in act 2 which doesnt seem to have a journal entry (beginning of act 2)

When you escape from sewers i went back down straight away because this dead knight had info on a spidercult? group. So i went back down and cleared em out. Is that the end of that? I dont think i found much, just some cult folk.

In both ems next mag i think. (xmas issue) On a positive note, PCZ staff are playing it and have been praising it quite highly :) (well one of em anyway)
 
Chapter 1/2 Question:

Can you get back to the Chapter 1 area later or should I make sure every rock is thoroughly searched in Chapter 1, like the extended area in the Crypt ? Also I hear people saying theyre at the start of Chapter 2 with virtually no gear, has your stuff you kept with innkeepers stayed and does it transfer from innkeeper to innkeeper ?
 
Man, was going to buy this tomorrow, but away on holiday for 5 days on Monday, so don't want to get into the game, only to have to stop whilst away... Will have to wait till i'm back... Gutted... :(
 
Mine arrived this morning. Have only just got up and have a stinking hangover!

Just have to say the packaging is very nice. It comes in a card outer that has an openable front cover held in place by velcro. You can then pull out the plastic dvd case and its then just a standard dvd box :)

If I feel any better by tea time i'll fire it up but right now I feel like death warmed up :(

LOl, I didn't get up until 1.30. Going to have Sweet and Sour with rice if I can manage to get up off the couch.

If I survive the day I'll post my first impressions when I finally get it installed

ps eeek . Just had a phone call from the hospital before sending this.!!!! My hangover is forgotten. I have been waiting ages for back surgery and unofficially she thinks it will be this month!! At last!
 
Could anyone let me know if i should have a silver sword for monstors yet? Im in chapter two by the golums, dont know what to do! And have to find a lost boy
If i should have one by now, anyone tell me where the hell i get them :confused:

ehhh?? you should have got one at the very start of chapter 2. What do you kill the cockatrice with otherwise because you dont have your own stuff back yet?


edit: armour is blimmin expensive ehh.... decided not to upgrade armour and re-forged my sword instead :D Also have enough money to reforge the silver one later as well :)
