The Witcher-Official Thread

Was playing last night and i have a question, maybe a bit of a spoiler so beware

In chapter/act1? i had escorted the tavern wench back to her grandmas and she said meet her at sunset for a bit of rumpy pumpy, but since it was during the day i went to odos, drunk a lot and by the time i left and killed the 2 weeds it was pitch black so well past sunset, does that matter and can i go anytime at sunset?

Dont know she died on me so i left her! You can just sleep again till sunset and go meet her i think, if it works, screenies!:D:cool:

I think you might have missed her TBH, I missed her once and she never showed up again.

Blast, I let her get killed too. Pity, the card collecting is fun. Bit like Pokemon with boobs.

is there a way to view collected cards?

Come to think of it is there a way to view completed quests? Just in terms of story continuity would be nice to remind yourself of whats going on.

Kikimor potion

is anybody else that has completed chapter 3 having trouble making the kikimor potion???

I have all the ingredients, the base, and the special item, but it keeps saying i dont have everything it needs :(.

Am i supposed to have these red dots keep coming up

to see cards u find the person in the character page and click the heart under their picture.

you can see steps of current quests by deselecting one of the buttons below the quest on the quest page

You can view both in the journal. Collected cards can be seen by selecting the character and clicking the heart icon, but only if she has one will you have a card for her, and you can review old missions or past phases of current missions by clicking the two green buttons at the bottom of the quests tab.

I hope this helps. :)

That happens when you're intoxicated by too many potions or alcohol. Rest and time will get rid of it, as will a certain potion you can make, but be warned that too much toxicity will cause Geralt to die.

Make sure your using high quality alch.

The basic stuff only has 3 slots for ingredients where as the high quality stuff has 5, caught me out early on when brewing swallow too :).

+Very slight spoiler warning for those who dont want to reveal ANYTHING+

Finished the game this evening, was long and absolutely fantastic. Took me a solid bit of playing all week maybe 40 hours or so. The ending is really very good and really judges you for your past deeds + a lot of characters you met reappear and give you their viewpoint. Is a nice twist too :).

Towards the end of the game also there seems to be a lot of different posibility of how whole swathes play out based on decisions also, if i had the time it would be worth a replay for sure.

Overall a real classic, got more than its fair share of bugs but its offset so hugely by having an awesome story it really is a must buy.

Just finished Chapter 1, and gone about 30mins into Chapter 2. I have to say the game just gets better and better, and the storyline is totally engrossing.

I really do hope this game sells well, I know its not done terribly well in magazine reviews etc (no bloody taste some of those journalists, if its not all eye candy and explosions they just arent interested)..but I hope that it sells well on word of mouth, cause the dev team for this game really do need to be patted on the back and rewarded for the game. Heres hoping for a sequel !

I'm around the same place and agree it seems to be picking up pace a bit now. :)

Getting a little lost with all the quests tho! But i have loads to do so i'm never bored.

Games been top notch ever since i clicked on the launch game screen IMO, one hell of a ride.

Id like to know what pcgamer and PCZone gave this game. Anyone got the scores? I know both mags get shirty if they dont get games to review prerelease.

Just got started into chapter 1 - haven't had time to play it all week :( really good so far - running it on a less than capable laptop so some lag and occassional textures don't come up during the cutscenes but so far i'm really enjoying it - haven't had a good go on a rpg since oblivion came out...
