Is it a pay monthly thing?
I buy games on instinct and not on reviews. The day I bought my first pc i walked into a pc game shop without any prior knowledge of games or even console games, and walked out with HL1. I think an experienced gamer can tell from the videos of this game that the developers know what they are doing. It's just little things like how it mentions that when you venture out of towns at night the bad creatures will be hunting in big packs, makes it feel like this game world is going to be very dangerous and immersive.
I watched videos of hellgate london months ago and straight off the bat I could see it would be dissapointing. But this will be ace. Trust me.
Yea umm no need to use the rolleyes there I was just asking...
So what sort of game is it, I thought it was an MMO.
artists first, technology second
I am like that as well. Also you can often see (I have been wrong before) when the developers, not the producers, are not doing the whole sales pitch thing in interviews, but rather talking with genuine passion and conviction. This is all speculation and hopefully come Thursday we will know.I buy games on instinct and not on reviews. about:
The Witcher represents the pinnacle of storytelling in role-playing games, shattering the line between good and evil with a world where moral ambiguity reigns. In a beautiful, rich game universe created by artists first, technology second, the player becomes his own hero in an epic, action-packed narrative uniquely defined by his actions. Returning to the roots of the role-playing genre with a fresh and modern approach, The Witcher emphasizes story and character development in a vibrant world, while incorporating tactically-deep real-time combat like no game before it.
Immersed in a vivid but harsh fantasy world, the player assumes the role of a white-haired witcher named Geralt, a renowned monster-slayer-for-hire and master swordsman with superhuman strength and reflexes. While trying to regain his lost memory, Geralt unwillingly becomes involved in a world-shaking power struggle. Created to provide entertainment for both fans of role-playing games and those seeking fast-paced action, The Witcher brings together epic storytelling and dynamic, visually stunning, and tactically deep action.
I did not notice it was 2 pages, I just had a quick look and posted ok.. nothing wrong with that, no need to get all seriously on me..
NW2 doesn't use the same engine. Although they started with the Aurora engine (as used in NW1 and The Witcher), Obsidian wrote a new engine from the ground up - called Electron.
