Olly is rubbish. Should have gone weeks ago.

When all is said and done it is a singing competition.

I'm right there with ya man.

Danyl's First Audition - Remind yourself!

Yes, his first audition was awesome, and he was one of my favourites from then, but as time went on, his nasal style of singing started to grate, and his bullcrap 'modesty' he put on when getting comments from the judges after all the cocky comments initially was cringe worthy.

I think that Danyl still has a good chance to go on and be successful, do they have it in their contracts or something that if they go out they can't release anything until a certain date?

I agree with the nasal style of singing, but surely it's correctable or he could at least tone it down. As for being cocky, I never got that. He never seemed cocky the whole way through.

I hope so, he deserves a shot at least.

I've never thought him cocky, but the media kept making comments, and as a result, he started doing this humble act which was even more annoying.

I read that wrong, yeah, I fully agree. The humble act was annoying, but it was probably advised upon him due to keep the masses and the media from having a field day.

Makes me wonder how much the mind games play a part in the show and how much influence the judges really have.

Stacey, although sings well and is a lovely person, is just thick as a plank. I cannot imagine her with a pop career, having to do all the publicity, interviews, travelling and everything that goes with it. She can't string a sentence together than "OMG, OMG!! I'm like, that would be, like, amazing". flap, flap, flap :D

So true.

I think any record company which signs her for the long term will be put off by her lack of poise. The would have to put in A LOT of work into getting her to the stage where she can go out, give interviews and promote her music.

During x-factor, people don't seem to mind that she comes over as thick, but in the USA she will struggle. Also, in the long term, she may struggle to hold down a contract.

Off the top my head, I can't think of any successful pop singer who comes across as thick as Stacey.

I mean, think about it, when you have Leona Lewis (who although is boring), can give good interviews and can sing better - why would you offer a contract to Stacey?

I think its pretty obvious that Joe is the most likely person to win and will probably go onto have a strong career in (broadway and west end) musicals. Olly and Stacey may win the x factor competition and their inital single will get to No.1, but after that I think they will fade into oblivion.

Danyl, providing he is prepared to work hard at it, is most likely to have a successful professional career as a recording artist - he looks and sounds like a pop star. He may even go to the states and do well there. The same cannot be said about Olly or Stacey.

Joe will win, but it's nice to finally see there are some other people on here who don't think he deserves it - everyone I meet in RL seems to think he's a sensation. He just doesn't have enough personality or distinction to be a pop star for me. For ballads he's one of the best but that isn't enough really.
Don't like Olly, would have liked to see Danyl in the final. Out of the 3 left I'd like to see Stacey win - her performances of Who Wants To Live Forever and Somewhere really won me over, she has an incredible voice when she belts it out. I don't mind her speaking voice - I think she's really sweet, and I don't think a lack of intelligence is necessarily a barrier to being a pop star.
But it's all academic - Joe will win, and he probably deserves it as I'm incredibly outnumbered in my opinion of him.
