yeh the audio sounded live but not from that performance :p love how there was lipstick all over her from where the mic was pressed against her face lmao! (probably so we couldn't see it wasn't live)

So obvious it wasn't live, hardly any close ups and she pressed the mic right into her mouth for 90% of it.

Like Jaxon said, it was "live" audio but pre-recorded... it sounded pretty bad.

I think it's a joke that a judge can't do a live peformance herself but is happy to judge people with about 1/100th experience that she had.

Cheryl ftl.

Why is it a joke? That is her job on the show. Should Simon do a live performance?

Lots of singers don't sing live when there is a big dance routine. Just like Alexandra last week.

Cheryl's performance was mostly live but with a backing track. Whitney has completely lost it, she is clearly drunk/high and she messed the intro up big style.

Simon isn't a performer... and has a great pedigree at what he does.

Just felt that she should have done it live, do you not agree? A judge on a singing show and she mimes. Doesn't sit right with me.

Wait for the inevitable "she doesn't have to prove herself" comments.

I think quite a lot of people agree with me, girlfriend said it's been all over the papers/girly mags.

Different strokes for different folks I guess, I've never been a fan of mimming.

Nor I. Afterall these days you only need auto-tune, an image and a marketing machine behind you, you don't have to be able to sing well.
