Yes, pre-recorded live.
She wasn't singing live on that particular performance, I think they are wording in such a way that it'll make people think she was.
It's clear to anyone with some musical background she wasn't (Not a dig).
What makes it clear?
All official and non official sources say she sang live with the help of a backing track, but did not mime.
Plus it sounded terrible!
* VERY few closeups
* Very consistant volume and tone
* Holding the mic waaaay too close which wouldn't result in such a sound
* I could physically see her miming (facial expressions).
Like I said earlier, it wasn't the album version and was probably recorded in the last week... and she may has even had a couple of live lines (although the fact she spoke into the mic right at the end and it wasn't on/turned up is a bit dodgy).

My wife posted on GMTVs boards saying she thought Cheryls new song was woeful and it was deleted. Only good + comments allowed apparently.

I noticed this as well.
And when she spoke into the mic at the end it was obvious she was miming. It's watching things like this makes me fuming.
I really hope they kick her off the next series and she has zero musical talent. To think she is giving advice to her contestants and they all sound a million times better than she ever could. Utterly pathetic.
Get rid of her NOW!

How can you be this up in arms over Cheryl but want the twins to get through?
Hearing that made me wonder why the vocals of the contestants always sound so muted, I've noticed it on this show and American Idol, I thought maybe they just had really bad sound mixers
but if they're singing live I guess they can't have the vocals coming through too loud or they'll pick up ambient noise/music?And yet she had a go at Kandy Rain the previous week.... most of them were more covered up than she was.

there is one thing you can guarentee, the mixer they use for that show will cost at least twice as much as your average house!! they definatly process the vocals with all kinds of effects too, i suppose they have to though otherwise they would sound pants!

I think its funny for the twins to get through on purely the comedy factor. Thats all.
