Jesus that was dissapointing, only Lucie, the twins and Jamie bothered singing a rock track/in a rock style. And what the **** was up with singing Katy Perry? That's not even a rock track and I think sums up just how far out of thier league the judges were tonight. Who takes a Rap song to a D'N'B competition? Absolutely no one, and a pop song should not have been taken to a rock competion/rock week.
They should get disqualified/have to perform another song for not even sticking with the theme.
First week I've watched X-Factor, and I was incredibly dissapointed they can't sing. Journey and a few others 'covered' in a different style were BUTCHERED.

I mean, not like it would have been hard to chose some Rock stuff...throw in some Nickelback, Avril Lavigne and the likes, perhaps Greenday, really commercial stuff, but still rock, and they STILL failed to chose rock tracks.

Je...sus.

Joe, Olly and Lucie were a massive cut above all the rest imo. Joe and Olly moreso than Lucie, if she nailed the closing notes of the song, I would have put her right at the top though...

Probably the best track this evening that stuck to the style like it was meant to.

I had to give a little respect to the twins for actually trying...but they can't sing.

Jamie's version was true to the original, but his voice seemed a bit weak.

The others just really didnt fit in, in a rock week IMO.
I still say they should be disqualified and need to perform again because of it.

She won't win though, women will be jealous (;)) and men don't vote.
 
lol true, first show I actually watched this week, because I thought they might actually bother (which they didnt at all apart from a couple). You're right though, she did look good, she actually sang the song reasonably well though which is kinda important. :)
 
Did anyone else see the Xtra factor - specifically the look Cheryl gave Simon when he was speaking to the girl from the Sugababe's on the phone.

He made some comment along the line's of "How's you're group going? Because you really need a singer like "X" in you're group" My god If looks could kill he'd be a grease stain on the wall :eek:

As for last night's main show I though Olly and Lucie put on the best performance :D

Only just watched it so here's my verdict since I have been singing rock for the last 40 years -

Joe - no power in his voice but he did do a cracking version even though they sliced the song up.

Lucie - sounded like a country & western singer doing it

Danyl - I had to play the first part of this 4 times for my wife to try and work out what it was and she still didn't get until he kicked in. he was totally out of tune/melody and looked like he didn't want to be there.

Lloyd - awful

Stacey - Not a rock song, out of tune here & there but I love her

Jamie - So you're supposed to be a rock singer are you? Millions of rock songs to choose from and they pick a crap pop song for him. Very disappointed.

Rachel - absolutely faultless

James & Edward - entertaining

Olly - Faultless again but I thought he would have been given a 'rock' song.
