His audition really wasn't that amazing, and he was an arrogant cocky idiot. Every time he tossed the microphone from one hand to the other I just hoped he would fumble it! I'm so glad he didn't win and hope we never hear from the turgid pile of poo again, the whole show was setup for him to win last year Simon even got him the un-released Whitney song and the talentless characterless numpty still failed to make the final.
Back on topic, Cher is alright it is good to see something different to the normal x-factor fare but she will struggle with a few of the theme nights like big band etc. For my money the old Irisish bird should win just because she would really appreciate it unlike half the other spoilt brats in the lineup.
In what way was Danyl cocky? The only time I detected anything regarding cockiness was when Minogue made the point. I don't read the tabloids so perhaps something was mentioned in them?
Danyl was probably my fave singer from last year. Although the winner has a good voice, I much prefer Danyl.

I've actually come across somebody who votes and it's my 21 year old work colleague.

Apparently she's got a soft spot for crap old men.
I just sat there with a big smile on my face while the rest of the office were laughing.

Relax by FGTH should be quite a performance!
Also, Wagner is rumoured to have left the contestant house because of a few arguments. He was accused of trying to sabotage other contestants voices by spraying lots of his deodorant around the house!

The media seemed to manipulate the voters imo.
Danyl should have walked away with the show last year.
Every performance was a winning performance, nothing against Joe tho as he was also outstanding.
With Joe, I feel that he has a great voice, but doesnt have the "xfactor". He could be your boy next door, your next door neighbour, a friend you went to school with. People like Michael Jackson, George Michael, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Aguilera, Usher - all have star quality...a certain "xfactor" about them, which cannot be described in words.
From this year, Cher is the only person who has this "star quality" or "x factor". Matt has the best voice...easily. However, once again, like Brookstein before him, he doesnt possess star quality.
JLS and Burke also have a star quality about them.
My take is that this show isn't about having the best voice...its about having a certain (un-named) quality which most people do not possess.

X Factor entrant in having no originality shocker. What's next, we'll discover that all they release are covers and songs written for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But it's a bit different saying 'I'm covering such and such a song', as opposed to saying 'Yes, I wrote my OWN lyrics/rap for a song', when she clearly didn't write them.
But do those artists shes trying to take credit for gurn like an idiot whilst on stage? Nope they dont. Thats the originality she brings, Gurning, the rest is what shes copied and what simon etc told her do sing/wear. Shes this years pet project and I hope it fails miserably.
But is one of the few to have any real talent apart from a good Karaoke voice

This is true. However, as you saw, he was a one hit wonder, probably because he didnt have the out and out star quality (or x-factor) that a "pop star" should have.
It would be very easy for Cowell and Co to pick the artist with the best singing voice, but this is not what sells records. Leona Lewis is arguably one of the best singers of her generation. I would rank her along side Carey, Houston, etc. However, her record sales pale in comparison to say Britney Spears or Lady Gaga, whose voices are no where near that of Leona Lewis.
Lewis' big probably is that she is purported to be "boring". The media simply don't have much to write about her.
People like Sneddon, Cardle, Brookstein, et all, have very little star quality, though they do have terrific voices.
XFactor, is ultimately about giving the tv audience a good show and making a star (and a lot of money for Cowell). Cardle easily has the best voice...probably by a significant margin, but would he sell more records than Cher?
Cher has star quality. Even at 17 years old, she is able to command the stage and sell herself. She is terrific and marketing herself and making people believe that she is the real thing. Obviously, there will always be haters. Even the highest selling solo artist (currently Lady Gaga) has plenty of haters. This is actually a good thing as it means people know who you are and are bothered with what you are doing.
The video shows that Cher hasn't written her own songs. You could say that she was a fraud, BUT she is only young and she is merely trying her best to sell herself. At 17 years of age, there is no way that I would be able to sell myself in that way.
Cher is someone who I will remember in 5 years time (even if she vanishes into obscurity). Cardle, like Brookstein, is someone who I will probably forget about after he has had his No.1 single.
