The X-Files is reopened!

This is great news!

I hope they do a mixture of things for the 6 episodes, but I would like to see a conclusion to the alien apocolypse stuff that was talked about in the series. I just hope this series has a decent plot set out and isn't rushed in order to get it broadcast as quickly as possible. Hopefully they have written some material already - I know that the creator Chris Carter has been fleshing out some ideas for years for the idea of an X-Files 3 movie for example.
 
Can't wait! I was really into the X-Files back in the day. Of course we wouldn't have had Breaking Bad as we know it either without the X-Files.

A German streaming service (ZMAXX) has it remastered in HD and it looks lovely in places. There's a great thread on blu-Ray.com about it with screenshots, have a gander.

There's been no announcement of it being released on disc but it'd be daft not to. However, with the new episodes in the works it may delay any potential release... Unless FOX want people to double-dip with bluray box sets and special editions :p
 
Ive recently gone through the entire series, up until season 7 it was epic viewing, afterwards not so much, season 9 took real guts to sit through. Hope Gilligan is involved, his episodes were always entertaining.

Got the x files dvd boxset sat in my cupboard still sealed bought about 3 or 4 years ago. So want to find the time to revisit. I used to love x files but never saw the movie or episodes past that point. Just checked, its tje conplete collectors edition.
 
In my experience, old shows which make a comeback for a short season never quite work...I'm not really excited at all, but I will certainly watch next year. I think XFiles had its time. It had its run and was rightfully ended.

What really interested me in the link posted above was Minority Report. I'm definitely looking forward to that.
 
VPN mate, the amount of content available outside the UK is staggering, if not for unblock-US, I would have cancelled netflix ages ago.
 
Unblock-Us works with virtually everything afaik and has guides for loads of stuff on the website. It's $4.95/month but that's not much when you consider the extra content you get.
