There be football! 7-8th & 14th Feb *SPOILERS*

Just got back from the Spurs vs. Arsenal game.

Disappointed that Spurs didn't win it but there wasn't enough quality from either side to deserve a win, I thought. I thought this was going to be the game where Modric showed his true class. I thought his passing and distribution was excellent but that the jury is still out. However, I did think that Palicios had a fantastic game. He's exactly what Spurs have been missing since Davids left.

I've also got a theory as to why we did so well when 'Arry initially joined Spurs - he had the man management skills but we also had the fitness that Ramos had instilled in the team. Now that 'Arry has brought back the ketchup, we look tired towards the end of games. We're either conceding late goals or not driving forward to win games late on. We should have done better against 10 men.

Still, I'll take a point.

Ramos wasn't a manager, he was a dietician.

Edwin van der Sar and his Man Utd defence have just set a new British for the longest time without conceding in a league match, beating Aberdeen (goalkeeper Bobby Clark) during the 1970-71 season. United have now gone 1,156 minutes since conceding in the Premier League.

He's certainly improved Real since joining them, 7 wins on the trot and looking pretty solid at the back. No idea why he flopped so badly at Spurs.

United doing nothing up front.
Ferguson following his usual fruitless policy of playing Ronaldo against a fullback he considers to be a "clogger", which always results in Ronaldo getting lumps kicked out of him and so he goes missing, he has put in two good crosses, but other than that, he has looked like he isnt interested.
Giggs, doing nothing on the right, Scholes, doing nothing in midfield, and Berbatov, well the good work he done in the last 2 or three games has been undone by his performance here so far.

take Scholes off, move Giggs into the midfield and bring Park on (and possibly gett Ronny and Park to swap wings)

think that would work better than 1st half

From watching the Spurs game, Modric ****ed me off no end. Fine he got the ball and ran with it but his pass selection was woeful at best, and that chance at the end, well oh dear.

Really thought Spurs deserved the win today, but we just lacked any sort of creativity in the final 3rd of the pitch. Arsenal were appalling at holding on to the ball and seemed to give it away at the first opportunity - though that may have been because they were all **** scared of Palacios as he was running around like a man possessed and fully deserved man of the match.

Am getting worried now, as it seems defensively we are a lot better but just cant seem to score anything :(

If Arsenal fail to get CL football, does anyone think they will have to sell a player in the because of the loss of CL money.

No the club have stated we won't have to sell players.

Can see Real and Barca, maybe even Man City, putting in bids for Fabregas.

So why would he go to Man City? He won't go to Real anyway, if your own Grandfather wanted you to lose the Champions League final can you imagine how he would feel if he joined Real? He will go to Barca at some point in his Career.

rumours that Fabregas and RVP at least would leave IF Arsenal dont keep CL games

Yep, typical 'sources' close to the club. Fat load of balls if you ask me.
