We did it!

I had a couple of shots of vodka, got the Mrs. to hold open a bag. Initially, I ran away but then I returned and held it by the tail and placed it in the bin bag. There was some screaming and crying but nevertheless, job done.

May Mr/Miss Rat rest in peace. Here is better picture of our beloved loss.
We did it on Flickr

Thank you GD for the advice and encouragement. :)

We found a large, dead rat in our garden a couple weeks back. It was intact, so likely just froze to death or something. We don't put poison down, here.

Left it for a few days to see if it would sort itself out. It didn't. It defiantly stayed exactly where it was, taunting us.

Eventually we put it in the compost bin. The worms can deal with it.

As per the title, just noticed a large, dead rat in the middle of the garden.

I'm very squirmish and not sure what to do. So I am turning to GD.
6. Take GD's advice?
I don't see what the problem is

Just pick it up with gloves on or with a plastic bag and throw it over the fence or wall into the garden next door.
