if you have a look, i can match his scores, apart from 03, cause ive only ever ran it once.

i can get higher scores, as ive messed with my cpu, and gained an extra 100 points in cpu 06, so should just about beat his score.

though only using ccc for my cards and if i had a better psu id clock them up with ati tool to 17k in 05

good cpu score in 06, mine is 2311 which is very close to yours

ill have another go and see if i can beat your scores

finally competion time!!!

I wonder what this rig would get with a couple of X1900's in as that could be interesting.

Also what you clocking your X1900's at? Any volt mods and remember the overclock I have done on the 7900 GTX's is very mild as only clocked the core upto 700MHz.

 Nforce 5 is crossfire compatible????

only set 690/800 in ccc, as we know it only overclocks the master not the slave, ive got the tagan 580w psu which doesnt have enough go in it to power both cards

ati tool says they draw 44amp with is too much and the pc shuts down, thinking of getting the p&p 1kw psu as a lot of the top benchers use them, cause they have 66amp combined with should be enough, id get 1 from ocuk if they sell them, but thats up to u or phil.

did ya build the system in a case like ya did the last one for mark or open bench, i suppose andy was excited, also what volts and temps, ill be going over to conroe when it comes out as fugger from xs just broke 21k in 05

the tagan psu you have got, what amps does it have on each rail?

I for one am not impressed with these scores, when you consider the cost to upgrade to an AM2 FX62 system:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core FX62 2.80GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail (CP-173-AM) - £740.19 inc VAT
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB) (MY-109-CS) - £352.44 inc VAT
Asus M2N32-SLi-DLX nForce 590 SLi (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-142-AS) - £152.69 in VAT

Thats £1245.32 inc VAT... Ouch...

As seen in the 7900GT/GTX overclocking thread, people with FX60's (and lower) plus SLi cards are already getting close to the score of the AM2 FX62, so whats the point in upgrading? The performance increase JUST ain't enough... :(

AM2 doesn't actually offer any tangible performance increase over S939, clock for clock the FX62 is very marginally faster than an FX60 on S939.

There really is no point in upgrading from S939, not with Conroe/Merom offering a much better performance increase in a few months time.

Holy moly batman

that ram alone puts me off buying AM2, £350 for 2 gigs!? you could get 4 gigs on 939 and have similar performance.

Gibbo, what postion are the CPU socket retention mount holes on the motherboard?

Are they in the same place as LGA775 ones?

Almost identical performance infact. And this socket and ram change was done for economic reasons...
I really can't see anything good about this platform over 939 except a little more longevity. Added to the fact that its going to cause 939 prices to go down, its not looking good in my eyes...
I think for most people, 939 is simply better value for money.
