They're real!!!!!!!

..... also not to mention the safety of the C series is second to none.

but im just one of those guys that would buy a C4 over a focus any day of the week. :p

safety of the c4 is second to the focus.....

have you actually driven a c4? they are not anywhere near as good as the focus ....

it's a quite querky car though, the digital readings etc and steering wheel that's centre doesn't move are different.

citron's are pretty poor on reliability too:(

Pity the interior in the production version doesn't look a great deal like the one in the concept version pictured above

its not far off in the top specced models. thing such as 'TGV' styled rear seats are only in the executive specs.

i havnt driven one, no, only been in as a passenger :( regardless i was very impressed. focus generally in the exterior and interior loses by a mile. far more toys as standard in the C4.

and you make a very strong statement regarding the safety aspect, i very much doubt theres much in it however. C4 is VERY good safety wise. Also the electronic AIDs will far outway the focus.

only downfall is with it that it doesnt seem half as 'chuckable' as the predecessor xsara :( the Xsara VTS was fun and the C4 VTS doesnt seem to have progressed with this.

reliability, again, depends on pot luck. generally the focus will be more reliable, but like my point, id rather have a car which was unique that have one you see around every corner.

Saw one of these the on Sunday. My brother and I felt sick. It was that ugly. I'm usually fairly open minded towards new models (ie. the amount of stick the new 5 series got - I loved it) but this just doesn't do it for me, at all.

I've just watched the Top Gear review and I quite like that... What's the engine output like?
And what's the deal with the second of the concept photos, four seats but two doors? Mahoooosive ones?

Its a nice car for a citroen, but you go a bit far suggesting that its as comfy as a high end benz..

Should have been more specific; compare it to cars with the same price when new.

Big Citroens have always had impeccable ride.

I hated the steering wheel on the C4 hire car I had. It was awful.

Everything else was OK.

Suicide doors at the back aren't they?

:( Not for me , now I saw a new BMW M3 today in white with its carbon fiber roof and that looked fantastic :)

Hmm so a V8 powered, rock hard sports saloon or a Hydraulic suspensioned, V6 huge luxury french barge, I dont really see the comparison?

The C6 can be had for around 29k now, so its along the same lines as new Merc C or Audi A4 / BMW 3 series (not the M3 though!!) BUT its technically from the next class up, aimed more to compete with the E class or A6 / 5 Series.

Big Cit's always do one thing superbly, waft. They are styled to look good wafting, their suspension is perfect for wafting, and their gearing etc is usually setup for laid back wafting. The term "Gallic" is quite apt tbh. They are a totally different breed to the hard nosed teutonic alternatives.

However the whole "french so it'll break after 2 minutes" (even though french diesels are the cars you see racking up biblical mileage...) and lack of image means that the types of buyers who will look are in fact Mondeo man etc, for whom 29k is just a tad to high to stray from what they know.

Given 5 years of depreciation, the V6 HDi C6 in top trim will be a stonking second hand buy.

personally i love it, i love its styling, i love its interior and having experienced a (now) old version of the hydraulic suspension setup, i like that as well. But then again i also dont drive down many country lanes on a Sunday just for the hell of it, I use my car to take me to places, and I like to sit back and relax when I do so.

I waft after i guff.. :D im pretty good at it too!

Very nice, I'd have one of those 2nd hand. :)

I used to own a top of the range Citroen XM a few years back, which was the last 'luxury' series Citroen since the old C series. There was a lot to go wrong, and frequently it did, but when it was working it was just a superb car to drive around in - especially long distance.

I drove from Swindon to Paris in it once with 2 mates, we left at midday, arrived in Paris at about 7pm, saw the sights, kipped in the car in an underground car park, then drove home early sunday morning. We stopped at Calais for a mahoosive amount of beer/wine (about 2 full trolleys) and then drove back to Swindon arriving at midday. The awesome thing was it almost drove the same with 1 person in as it did with 3 people and half a ton of beer in the back - the active suspension is amazing, it just didn't sag at all. :D
