Thief

For those getting the game free with graphics cards, is that an old or current promotion?

I bought my latest card back in AUG/SEPT 13, and held my gold ticket till just before the new year.....then claimed.

Not entirely sure if the gold/silver/bronze reward applies on recent HD77xx/78xx/79xx cards with the R7 and R9 being out.

Could always check with OCUK customer services.

Can you never choose a drive for pre-loads then? Not noticed before, but I was unable to choose when I pre-loaded it earlier. Usually I install new games to my SSD

I think its best to wait and see how it turns out, one thing that really bothers me is that they have completely removed the rope arrows and replaced them with hook points rather than being able to use them how you see fit.
As apparently what was possible back in thief 1 and 2 is two much for current programmers/hardware which is just a pathetic excuse.

I could have sworn I saw rope arrows as a weapon/tool in a recent gameplay trailer

Everyone heard about the leak?

Summary & Conclusion In summary, it is not fair to call this a bad "Thief" game, because in truth it is so lacking in any elements of the series that it should not even be considered as part of the same IP. Beyond that complaint, however, the game at its core is a fundamentally flawed, poorly designed, and atrociously written experience which belongs firmly in the bottom of the bargain bin. Had this been a new IP called "DarkBlade" or something of the sort, it would have released entirely unnoticed by most and chalked up as a console-launch shovelware title.

The 360/PS3 version appeared on various websites on Wednesday.
I have read people saying they give it 7-8/10. Game is apparently good, but short, with bad AI and cut corners. For example, when someone falls down stairs, they just slide down like a game from 2004. Someone also said they ran from guards, went into a room and hid in a chest. The guards ran in, ran straight to the chest, then just stood looking at it before turning at walking away.

Time will tell I guess.
I will probably pre-order it because it looks like my sort of game.
