Think the weather's grim? Get used to it.

Loving the recent weather, I hate British heat so the fact we are not getting any this year pleases me :p

Also, due to the torrential downpours we have been having today in Manchester, work got flooded and I've done nothing but watch people mop up all day. Bonus :p

I just hope it doesn't rain this Sunday while I'm at Wembley.

Would have been nice to get a few BBQs in though...
I had some barbecues at uni back in April, no rain for the entire month! It's certainly making up for that oversight now :p

rain is good, allows me to perform some rear wheel action with more fun :D

Great, remind of my old Capri just before I go to sleep. I'm going to dream of the old girl now, I know I am. :D

HA

Glad my summer consists of me in:

  • Denver
  • Singapore
  • Borneo
  • Kuala Lumpar
  • Thailand
  • South Africa

In that order.... So long suckers! ;)

Just had the loudest crack of thunder I have heard in a long time a split second after a lightning strike just out side our office!

In Epsom in case you are wondering. :)

Perhaps you're in the path of the storm that left here a little while ago ;)

Shame really, it's a real pain to keep the car clean in this sort of weather and it makes spending a few days polishing far less rewarding when you don't get to admire the fruits your labour for more than a day at the time. Was looking forward to a pleasant 2 months off over Summer :(

too true, havent bothered cleaning mine for about 4 weeks now.

In North London today we've had mass downpours and massive hail stones, both of which i got caught in while running down the street on my way home from work. I tell you what they hurt and by the time i got home i looked like i had jumped in a river.

Also there was a mini river going down the high road along the pavements, going into shop doors and even when the bus arived it was coming in.

When playing tennis, I much prefer it in the rain.

Nothing worse than playing it in the boiling heat and having your underwear swimming in sweat.
What! Are you mad? What sort of underwater tennis are you playing. As soon as the balls get wet its rubbish. Looking up to serve also means you get rain in your eyes and throws you off your serve. Rain ruins my finely tuned athletic approach to tennis.

But cycling is alright either way.. same with footy..

Ultimately Gilly.. cold pints just are not the same in the wet.. ive never seen anyone lean back after a days rain and say "you know what.. i could do with a nice cold pint".. but thats mainly because i dont look out for people leaning back..
