well i have bought the Xbox 360 now, Got it over the weekend.

It's not the improvment i thought i was going to be, or is that just because i
dont have a HD TV?

I can't seem to read the righting on the screen either, it seems to be Blurred

How menny of you are actually running it on a HD TV?

Pretty much because you don't have it running on a HDTV.

Depends heavily on what game you are running though.

Ovlivion looks very blurred on standard definition but when you think how llow the reoslution is (480i which is 640 x 240 - interlaced to 480) it will be blurred.

The cheapest way to get the best out of the 360 is using a VGA lead and you pc monitor or getting a lcd TV which is capable of HDTV resolutions yet isn't actually HD ready. (and then running the VGA lead through that).

Are you running on Composite or RGB SCART? Composite is **** poor compared to RGB and would cause stuff to look blurred and horrible.

Tbh mate when i bought my 360 i wasnt that impressed with it, in fact for about 3 weeks i didnt bother playing with it but that was because i was using a normal sony 32" tv which wasnt HD capable. Everything was blurred and could hardly see what was written on the screen but still was playable though.

But a few weeks ago i ordered a 32" Samsung HD LCD Tv and now im hooked on it again. I was quite gobsmacked at how lovely it looked in HD, the 360 that is. Seriously if you want to be blown away with lush gfx then get yourself a decent HD LCD TV and you wont look back. Im absolutely loving my 360 again:p, havent bothered to join my mates to play on their ps2....im now stuck in my room for most of the night playing on the 360. Using the component lead here and have mine set to 480p or 480i...cant remember but it looks great:D

Running it on SCART mate

If you're running it with the lead that came with the Core pack (3 leads connected to the SCART interface) it'll be composite RGB and I'd recommend you get your hands on an official MS RGB Scard Lead. It's quite a performance boost.

I was running mine on a normal 32" CRT for quite a while and still found the graphics pretty stunning.

Of course my shiny new 32" LCD is better :)

I didn't want to revive any old (and possibly dead) VGA threads so I thought I should post here.

I'm planning to pick up a VGA cable (although not sure whether I should risk it and get one cheap off that site), hopefully for a tenner or less off here on MM and connect it to my LG 1715S 17" TFT monitor. About the sound, I was wondering whether I could just plug in 2 hi-fi speakers into the cable seeing as if I'm not mistaken, they are split into L and R plugs. I have a Technics hi-fi that I haven't used for over a year so I waws wondering whether the speaker below (I have 2) would connect to the VGA cable fine and thus provide me with stereo sound.

(sorry for the dust, couldn't be bothered to clean it :p)

Also, the ethernet cable provided with the Premium packs. Are they just simple network crossover/patch cables because I already have 1 or 2 lying around, which I've used before to connect my XBox to my PC and router.
