It is. If I see another onboarding pic or maths problem on there I'll lose my ****. I don't know why companies are posting "new starter today, here is their amazing "swag" and desk to make them feel like we love them..." shut up. Idiots.
I swear this week is trying to do me in... I'm shattered and want wine. ALL OF IT.
Got an email from ASU saying our insurance doesn't meet their requirements... FFFFFFFFFF I got people to deal with this as I don't know what they want. I sent requirements to insurance broker, they give me price & I pay for it. I've sent it back to the insurance people pretty much saying as such. Gah. I wanted to have a ride tonight but I'm beat. I think I'll just get some dinner and get some sales emails out and a couple of follow ups and cry into my cushions.

Landed 3 demos today, so that's the flipside. The big push is paying off in some way anyway!

Sounds very odd... hate when things get like that, it's just stupid.
I swear this place is trying to kill me at the moment. My boss is based in the US. I work on varying projects, they come through either direct or via him. I got an email which had title "urgent" forwarded from him about a project that was needed to be delivered P1 by Monday PM (I met with him Friday...) and P2 tomorrow by Midday!! It's had me working so much, it's a killer. That and I have another 2 projects to deliver by this week, as well as new outlining support training on a solution to a group of people now managing it, so hand holding there. AND I have to put together a whole set of training material by next week as we've already arranged sessions, not to mention the sessions of training I've had to deliver this last 2 week too. Then I'm going home and working until 1-2am on emotuit and I'm beat. I have a cold and feel rough as **** but can't do anything about it. Getting hardly any riding in, it's forcing me to drink to

It happens to be for the whole Global Legal team, so they're presenting to the head of global legal tomorrow, hence me getting hit with the **** stick.

Mate, you can find the time if you really want to. Sounds stupid and things will get tough, I'm currently absolutely shattered. My contract work is running me ragged, I did 52hrs there last week and then get home, see my 3 kids before bed, make them dinner, bath, story etc. and then it's back to work until 1-2am.
I just want to sleep tonight, but I have 2 meetings and a ton of emails and sales follow ups I can't do any other time. I still managed to knock up a casserole for tomorrow nights dinner though and feed these little pains!

It's a tough one really... you have to think of it as, regardless of when it is in the future, he knows he's going to be off and knows it'll make the team short. I have been in this position like you and you think, "what an asshat!" but he's just thinking about covering the work and his ass while you're off. I'd just explain that you'd be as flexible as possible, but the trip can't be changed date wise as it's not just you going and you'll do what you can to ensure it's as smooth as possible while you're off. Something like that.

How come you're doing what you're doing now? I must have missed the reasons... are you pushing to get back into MC/ BA roles? Trouble with those are, the time spent out of it, it's much harder to get in again. Where are you looking?

Been asked to go to KL on 16th Feb to showcase for the Malaysian and Singaporean government, which is nice, free accommodation, too. I can also get a flight for like 750chf, so that's pretty damn good. Issue is, I'm supposed to be taking the family skiing on the 18th.
I've worked out that I can get back by the 21st and then drive straight to the alps from here. Need to make the yes/ no tomorrow so I can book something.

We've had 2 contact forms come through from our website in 3 days... which is really weird, but good. Big uni in Brazil and one from Canada. Arranging meetings now.
Side note; I put a job up on Angel list for a head of Big Data and Machine Learning, as Sean, who is our VP Engineering (dev dude) could probably do it, he's bloody good at anything, but he has no resource. Now, we can't afford someone hardcore, but we need someone... we can give equity and take someone who's got skills and passion.
The stack we've spun up for it is a cassandra cluster with apache spark instance...
This girl has applied (we had another 6 people with like no skills at all) and she looks good!
What do we think? Good Qs to ask?

Killer day today. I had a demo last night 11-12am, did work after until 2am, back up at 6:30am, rode 40km and went to work. Then after work rode home and had 3 more demos. Just finished the last one, now got to type up some contracts and get info to the right people with a glass of bubbly and red wine chaser 
Bonus being; ASU last night teachers keen to use us (we have contracts in place, this was just finding the faculty to use it first) so rolling out in March with them. (legals pending! Love paperwork).
Today was an online Uni in Sao Paulo, who want to pilot with view to rolling out, getting a PO ready now. Then university in Canada want to use us, but they use D2L for an LMS so we're going to have to build that plugin. Benefit is, they're a 45k student uni, so potentially a nice deal there (we charge per student), going to push that integration through.
Lastly was utx (University Texas System https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Texas_System) who want to use us, want to get a PO sorted so they can get going and are getting back together with us next week...
I might not have any sleep, but it's starting to roll, which I just need to keep on going with!

Hopefully... need to follow through with them all now and get them in and signed, but it's nice movement. I've decided it's all about the phoning people, too. Not enough people call any more and it's a big difference.

Mailboxes. App & webapp. I have many accounts. 3 gmail accounts, one zoho, one fastmail, etc etc.
Now, I have most added to my gmail as iMap account etc. but it's not really a nice/ easy to manage experience.
We want a one mailbox experience. Where it's clearly defined which account is which, a clean super easy interface, that lets you seamlessly switch between accounts, yet see everything all in one place.
Be able to add social hooks to your space? Host your own mail in there, too?
One place for all your mail. One experience. A better one. Yksi.one *BOOOM* *KLAXON* etc etc. (yksi means one in Finnish, one of the guys is Finnish)
We're knocking up a prototype, to get the technical side locked down and then sort the simple design over the top.
