Read the pamphlet that came with some drowzy antihistemines I was prescribed to help with sleep (I suffer with severe anxiety) and discovered that if you take a high dose after drinking alcohol it can cause a coma or even death... I feel like they should have told me that when they prescribed it to me! I took some after the work Christmas party where I'd had a good 10 drinks and woke up the next morning feeling strange... I could literally have died. :eek:

I feel like its worth raising with someone... But I guess it was left to me to read the pamphlet? I've never bothered reading the small print that comes with medication. I've always been of the opinion that it will do whatever it does, and reading the small print would just put me off taking it. Then I can weigh up for myself whether the benefits outweigh any side effects I notice.

Pretty much every medication contraindicates drinking. My girlfriend is on a setup of about 5 antidepressant / anti-anxiety / antipsychotic medications. Including a drowsy antihistamine for sleep as well. They all suggest not drinking I think.

Don't be over scared - side effect warnings include the very rare effects. But do read your pamphlets :eek:

I've found it's worth taking time to work out interactions when starting new medication. Especially when drinking.

Ah to be 30 again. Mine wasn't good lol.

So I bought 3 pots of Pringles for Xmas tea time and just thought oh wonder if the flavoured ones have wheat in. Had a look, they all contain wheat including the original ...nooooooo :(

So I'm gonna take them into the office and buy different crisps when I go shopping tomorrow :o :D

That's true:p at the Xmas party a colleague who is 25 (but looks in her 30s) kept saying "I just don't get it. I look at you and you look 25. You have no wrinkles, your skin looks amazing, how? How?????" :D

Told her it's genetics as my mum looks young too. Though probably also the fact i don't smoke and rarely drink :o lol.

Sounds good (except the housework lol) I haven't even bothered to book my bday off this time. All I'll do is sit at home doing chores probably. It's happened too many times in the past where family/bfs have got my hopes up about big plans for my bday and then I get let down so I don't bother anymore

I'm still waiting on my card and gift for my 30th that my sister apparently has for me. She said she was making something :/

What a day...running around like a blue-***** fly getting things ready for my daughters 21st tomorrow. The white tent or whatever they call it - marquis? - arrives about 8am. I don't look forward to putting it up - 6m x 3m for a small party.

Most of them just say stop drinking alcohol if you experience adverse effects, these ones just flat out say no alcohol.

Ugh had some Oat-ly ice cream last night, I feel awful this morning :( feel like I'm gonna be ill. . God knows what is in it.

Off to get some food shopping now and pick up the turkey, ugh I can't even think about food

Yes, twas a compliment.

The kids party is finally over. Phew. I spent half a day in a university library and the other half driving around (+ having kfc on my own for dinner) so the younks could do their 20-something party stuff in peace. I reckon we could fuel an odd-shaped spacex rocket with the miscellaneous spirits left over.
