No and it isnt drilled for the type of pick guard I bought either. Just makes it more interesting. :p

So a big decision yesterday.

Signed a tennancy agreement on a flat for me and my partner, moved out yesterday.

Big move and at a difficult time but this lockdown has taught me that it was needed.

Big change but really looking forward to making our own home, well overdue but will allow continuing to save to understand what COVID has done to the housing market and then make the leap at the right time.
 
So I ballsed up the next stage of the guitar rebuild today, but ended up liking the outcome... :p

Headstock looked like this (stock image)

I wanted to put a custom decal on, so I sanded it off, but it left a faint ghost of where it used to be... So I thought OK I'll try cutting a bit of satin silver vinyl to fit the headstock, turns out that was very difficult. So I thought OK I'll paint it silver, so I masked it up, and painted it silver:

Then I decided that I didn't really like it silver, so I'd do it black, with this as the inspiration:

So I sanded it back, and painted it black, the paint reacted, so I cleaned it off, and tried to brush paint it black, but I couldn't get it looking any good so I wiped the half dry paint back off again, and sanded it all smooth ready to try something else...

Then I thought "you know what? That looks like natural age and wear and tear..." so I oiled it and put it back together... :p

Also I discovered that the body is indeed routed for any pickup configuration, so no chiseling required! But I will need to drill some holes for the new scratchplate which is an 11 screw type not an 8 screw type...
 
Now to decide if I want to brand it as "Franken STRATOCASTER" "Fender PARTSCASTER" or "Franken PARTSCASTER" :p
 
Struggled with energy levels all day today with the feeling that if I stood too long I'd collapse with exhaustion (but still forced myself to do chores)

Then suddenly 7pm I start batch cooking and then I'm making chicken Korma and then also a chilli. Ended up not sitting down with a bowl of chilli until almost 10pm

Think I need to start having earlier nights again :o (and get back on my thyroid supplements :p)
 
Sounds like we had similar days. Our fridge/freezer broke so we had to cook meals with all the meat that'd defrosted and take it round to my mother in laws.

Worked out we've ended up with Bolognaise, chilli, cottage pie mix, chicken bhuna and chicken stew!

Also had a shopping delivery booked which had some really nice magnums which we handed to our neighbours :(

Engineer came this morning and all is fixed now though luckily :)

When you say cottage pie mix, do you mean mince, peas, carrots and onions in a rich beef stock?
