the shim was only covering half the neck pocket and the bottom half so it definitely added a minor degree rise to the end. I left it the first couple of times I tried to fix the buzzing thinking it could have been some tech who put that in but after adjusting the truss rod it was still there and what was weird was the 22nd fret had a lower action (with capo on 1st) than the 12th. That little piece of paper (more like a ripped off piece from a packaging) was what was causing it.

It now plays and feels like my PRS, I’m very happy how it plays now. A Saturday job well done! :D
 
I spent so long trying to chase fret buzz on my strat that I gave up in the end, can't hear it when amped.

I had almost given up, if that didn’t work then I would have, done everything but take some files to the nut but if I’m going to do that I would take it to a tech. This is as far as I will go DIY. Alls well ends well though :)
 
I saw the word shim and immediately started singing "shim shiminee shim shiminee shim shim sharoo" from Mary Poppins :o (yes I know that's not how it goes :p )

Just spent a couple of hours doing a diamond painting picture for my mum. So easy but soooo long to do

Stopped for the night and gonna find a film to watch :)

The whole worlds going crazy and just sitting here, wondering if I should get a new PC case, wondering if I'm getting sex tonight.

Literally could not give less of a **** about whats going off in america, racism happens, doesn't make it ok, but it happens, looting a bunch of tv's isn't going to change that.

Why can't people just enjoy life and not kill people?
 
Trying to source some decent gardening gloves for my mum as the others have gone walk about. One set said to measure the circumference of your hand to determine the size. They had bad reviews so I find others with different sizes (their small was a medium in the other pair) and said to measure the width of your palm.

My mum gave me circumference as 20cm. Trying to get her to give me just the width though...sent her a picture from Amazon.

Mum: Yes it's in cm
Me: yes but that was the circumference what's the width across your palm, like the picture shows
Mum: it was 8 ins or 20cm
(Face/palm)
Me: no mum, that would mean your hand is 20cm wide
Mum: that's what it is

It's taken me sending a picture of my own hand with a tape measure (so basically same as first pic) for her to get it :p bless! Lol
