I nearly posted that news link in here as i didn't think it was thread worthy yet it's now over 40 pages long with 30,000 views.

I can no longer make heads or tails of the thread.
There must be some law someone has coined which states, the more pages a thread has the less likely it is to be talking about the subject. Several of the long runners here are like that, you dip in to a thread and three stalwarts are dissecting the verbiage of a throwaway post from a week ago. The poster has long since logged out but don't let that stop people carving up borders and writing scripture on their stance!

Got back from Disneyland Paris yesterday, and it struck me, door-to-door it took less than 6hrs to go from there to being back home. The chunnel is such a great bit of engineering - shame about the UK passport control being so slow, but it's always been bad from memory.

The last time I used it, it was super fast! Although thinking about it, it was during lockdown 1 so that’s probably why.

Last time I went to Disneyland I drove past the Notre Dame and it was on fire :(

It saddened me greatly as I grew up a few blocks away from Notre Dame - but it's good to see the work is well on its way to restore it (as much as it can).

Yes travelling during lockdown was a boon for that stuff. We did a few trips after the "hard" lockdown, and it was wonderful not to have to queue! :D

I think the Chunnel is absolutely brilliant, we live just over an hour's drive from Dover - no thanks to Operation Brock - we have a telepeage fob as well so it makes sailing trough the motorway a breeze.

Disneyland was great offseason, longest queue was 40mins, which I can cope with, and their "baby switch" system, i.e. you get a fast pass straight to the front is excellent. I was able to queue up with one of the kids, and my wife with the other and then we just swapped tickets and went straight to the front of each other's ride.

In bed trying to get the energy to do something in the garden. I think I'll reward myself with a few games of destiny 2 afterwards.

No doubt the wife will complain though

Randomly discovered Sean Bean lives (or at least has a house) just down the road from me. Wonder if his is the McLaren 720S I see from time to time - though can't see any mention of him owning one.
