My wife fell over and split her chin, needs stitches.

U ok Hun, DM me xFirst world problem alert: The M&S near me has recently installed new self-checkout machines. For some reason they've decided to move the barcode scanner from the 'flat bed' of the machine beneath the screen to just beneath the screen in a vertical orientation. The problem with this is every other self-checkout works the other way so your muscle memory has you doing every other item the 'old' way then having to reposition. Also, it's a less natural, more time consuming motion. Lastly, the new barcode scanners are ***** and take ages to register the barcode.
Is it a bit early for ice-cream vans?

Around here they actually don't have much sympathy for drunks, maybe dangerously so, if they think it is just alcohol you won't get an ambulance or very low priority unless someone is literally dying and same for A&E.
You can’t park there, mate.
