Always forget that when you put in a dispute with a CC company you get a credit at the point of raising the dispute until it's resolved.
I bought a car back in October and have been trying to sort things out with the garage as there were a few faults on delivery (bought remotely), they dragged their feet for ages, before saying they'd collect the car and sort a repair. I gave them the date i was coming to Spain as a deadline and yet they never sorted anything in the time. So i got a rough quote from a local garage and got in touch with Amex to try and recover the costs for me to then get it repaired.
Completely forgot they did this until i went to pay the bill and couldn't understand why the current payment was ~£1500 less than expected, as obviously the bill for the car was paid ages ago.
Now to go stick it all on black
(Obviously there's no guarantee that it won't get reversed, in the event the garage successfully argue back and so spending it isn't wise)
