Just slipped cutting mushrooms and put the knife through my left thumb. FFS.

Looking nice after a shower:

That's going to be annoying for days.

Hmm, it's 8.15pm and I haven't had dinner yet. What to do? Skip it or go to Maccas or KFC?

My wife is currently 6.5 hrs into a 24 hour run.

I'd say I think she's mad but it doesn't seem a very nice thing to say about one's spouse.

Very concerning. To be drinking rum having thought you’d poured a reasonable measure.

Then drinking slowly and putting it on the arm of the sofa 10 mins later thinking “hmmm that’s a pretty big measure left”

I should really measure this stuff!

Went to school governors meeting.

I totally derailed it as they provided a data table showing "attitudes to school" questionnaire responses, which led to some awkward questions from me.

I was disappointed to see how boys' attitudes and positivity seem to change with age. And telling me "well, that's just boys, isn't it?" was exactly the wrong thing to say to me.

It honestly felt like I was back in my old job.

Just been swarmed by a huge film crew prepping for filming on the weekend right by where my desk is in work and around the building..

Something apparently for a film called eternal return - no idea on platform, date release info etc. Interesting

Looking like a film with someone called Naomi Scott in it

Had a hospital appointment late morning. Did 3.5 hours at work before took the bus to the hospital. Good job I did as parking at the Leicester Royal Infirmary is awful. One fellow outpatient said it took her 50 mins to join the Havelock Street crawl to park.

Looking forward to tasting food again. I thought I was one of those people unaffected by Covid as id not knowingly had it before now, I rarely get ill in general but normally if I do it goes within a couple of days but this is lingering a bit.

At least the shivering, sweating and diarrhoea has gone but need to get some sleep back as feel like a zombie atm.

Can't wait for this year to be over so i can get my life into some sort of order and start paying off the debts i've accrued....

Fantastic trip around Oz East coast and both NZ islands, completely shattered by time we got back.... then i found my perfect motorbike i've been searching for for years at a decent price.... selling both houses and hopefully buying a house in Wales after being messed around for 6 months on another house only to be frankly threatened by dead owners family by being given completion deadlines without answers to questions and then being gazumped so we pulled out. After paying for a survey and then realising it needed a new septic tank (£20k) and there was no access to replace it as you had to go across a farmers field.... *Hopefully* we ended up finding a better, cheaper house with more potential in a better area.
My job is going really well after a crap few years in the NHS and they just keep giving me payrises, working from home and i'm still learning but they have been so supportive because of my head injury but i've been careful not to take the pee.

Then in 2024 i've just got to pay it off....

It's all going so well I'm just waiting for the wheels to fall off.... constantly anxious. :( Always have a plan B and always have things covered but takes so long sometimes to reach fruition.

I spent a while waiting with a fainted pregnant woman for an ambulance (I'd called- thanks crowd of onlookers!).

After 45 mins her boyfriend turned up and declared he was driving her to the A&E.

She was much better at that point, had woken up a bit and was not white as a sheet.

Ah well, good deed for the day.

Good for you for stopping and helping, @potatolord. Pretty shocking that the ambulance service has got so bad that a collapsed pregnant woman has to wait more than 45 minutes for an ambulance :(
