Not without difficulty though! Couldn't sort out the tax online because the govt website is useless and doesn't allow you to tax a vehicle which has had a tax status change in the last 5 days... Meaning that because I put it on SORN for this month so I didn't pay for 4 days of the month, he wasn't able to tax it. Good job on that one! Great system! /s

So I took him to the local post office, which closed in front of our eyes, 7 minutes before they were supposed to... Then I took him to the closest open post office, which was a 45 minute round trip... Then when we got there, they were on lunch. And then his direct debit application was declined, and then his card was declined...

We got it all sorted in the end but holy ****... :p

My family do no Christmas presents at all. We concentrate on birthdays which are more personal.

When working in retail after Christmas, spend an age on doing refunds or explaining to customers that we need the receipt to any refund to branded items - booze, books, toys, chocolates, gift sets etc. Plus get many customers coming in trying to get refunds on 3rd party gift cards as they 'don't shop on that website or in shop'. We can do ZERO refunds on gift cards. There are websites and apps that do this - though probably lose a few % from fees.

Christmas - we spend more on our food and drink.

Wow, he really won the bingo of opinions eh?

For the record my surfing on here isn't complete (though I am grateful post count isn't recorded any more) so I didn't come across most of them. And I am not defending him I was just surprised that someone that didn't seem disruptive just different got the boot. But such is life. I better keep my mouth shut or just blather on in another language and hope no one has translate >D
 
Knee has swelled up all hot and red, so doctor gave me antibiotics for bursitis. The car passed its MOT and just needed rear discs and pads and my solicitor is issuing court proceedings against the other drivers insurers after ridiculously low counter offers following a nasty crash last December.
Good to get stuff out the way on a Monday.
