Trying to teach myself iOS programming and am feeling stuck. I'm thinking of signing up to:

We have O'Reilly through work, and it's really good to be fair - as in it's got a good collection of resources, but I dislike their website and being forced to use their systems.

For Swift specific iOS stuff - I would highly recommend:

Thank you very much! That looks good.

Have you completed any of the other things you've started and paid for

Glass houses my friend... :D

Ew, back to work tomorrow. Really needed this weekend for rest after a few mental weeks at work and weekend stuff. At least my cold is mostly gone.
I am a giver not a receiver

I did do another 20 mins in the workshop-cum-gym though; realised I could use the offcuts the guy gave me to add ~2msq. Looks quite tidy --- annoyingly I know I will now convince myself to buy the remaining 10sqm at £50/sqm to finish it off tho :cry:

I'm terrible with sticking to one task at a time and tend to skip from one thing to another as my fancy takes me. Concentration is not my strong point.
I was the same - do some proper certifications that you have to book an exam for. Booking an exam forced an end-date.

Here's a simple maths question..

Mrs K has 3 perfume bottles. One replacement is being bought by her mum, and I was asked to buy the other.

What is the probability that I ordered the correct bottle?

Is it either:
a) "thank you"
b) "thank you but that's the wrong bottle.. eyes say can I order the other too"
c) "thank you but that's the wrong bottle, can you cancel the order, and make list of all the outlets with prices against the ml so when we go to the channel tunnel we can see which is cheaper and buy it then..."

Interestingly around the same time as BA had "technical issues" today we were hit with a large scale and sophisticated, though not very effective, cyberattack at work - we are completely unrelated to BA. From what I can see it didn't achieve much other than some disruption, temporarily knocking systems offline, but doesn't seem to have infected anything or compromised any systems, at least not according to IT or from my understanding of what has happened, despite penetrating the network enough to cause disruption.

Bit of a weird one as it seems to have affected quite specific hardware within the network which I guess had some kind of vulnerability but I don't think we were the intended target hence it wasn't very effective - I'm guessing that hardware was hit broadly.

and our friend Steve who has been in Japan teaching English.

Former colleague went to Japan just before the tsunami to teach English and appears to have disappeared off the face of the earth - hopefully wasn't caught in the tsunami but haven't had any replies from him since and his social media hasn't been updated since :( for some reason his parents won't reply to me either on the subject.

EDIT: Just searching now found a newish Facebook profile of someone with the same name and looks a lot like him but over 10 years later can't be sure.
