This Instant And Moment - 2024!

Took a whole stack of DVD's to CEX, stood there for over 20 minutes whilst the guy was scanning them, walked out with 75 pence...
Next time I'll just drop them off at the charity shop.

They often don't take them anymore :(

Just lol at the question. Go play some games, at bedtime use your toothbrush. If your toothbrush isn't working any more buy a new one.

Just buy one of those lol toothbrushes for £300 so we can all laugh.
Well that's kinda my Q. Other than the novelty crap - are they all the same motor / output etc? I guess there is only so fast it can spin before it's an orbital sander

I do fancy a water flosser tho.

Fair play the service from dell warrenty support is brilliant

Had an issue with my brand new second hand Dell 5330 i5 12th gen laptop

Not charging ,

they are coming out tomorrow to replace the motherboard

I was worried id have to supply original purchase invoice from a mainstream supplier.

No hassle and great service,

Dell support has always been great.
Their consumer grade computers however, utter ****.

My Dads Ryzen Inspiron has been the most unreliable piece of crap ever, I didn't know it was possible for a modern lightly used laptop to be so bad.
The Wi-Fi card went bad twice, one of the hinges snapped (bearing in mind my Dad is gentle with it and it doesn't really get moved from where it lives), there was a problem with the USB ports, and despite these issues being "fixed" by an engineer (they did replace parts etc, did a proper job!), the thing still has issues booting sometimes. The top of one of the keys on the keyboard has also begun to flake off

I will never buy another Dell product. I know their desktops are all over-engineered deliberately consumer-unfriendly proprietary junk, they have been for at least 25 years, but from my experience with their enterprise equipment I thought the consumer laptops would be a decent shout. Nup...

I had a 12th gen (I think) i7 Latitude for work previously too, the fan was constantly screaming its head off and it had a few other problems too... It was at least physically constructed a bit better.

Fortunately, knock on wood, the cheap second hand Dell gaming laptop I bought has been flawless.

Club Christmas gathering tonight.

I went along intending to sit out the sparring, due to my neck being buggered again. As usual, my good intentions went by the wayside as I fancied a scrap and I am not looking forward to paying for it tomorrow.

@Tefal Let me get back to you on Ramen places, I did have one....I say did, because I found out recently they started to charge foreigners more than locals....When you queue up outside, they give you a menu to look at while you wait....if you speak Japanese, they give you a Japanese menu or English if you don't. I found out the English menu they use is about 10% more ! The cheek! Out of principle I won't recommend them anymore....they were my favourite.

I do have a few that I like, I just need to go back my Google Timeline and photos to find the name and location of them.

p.s. thanks for the offer, but I think I am going back in April so will be going to Muji for sure.
Oh hey any tips on the ramen?

Oh one strange request the Mrs kinda wants to see in her words "drunk busniessmen singing karaoke" I have no idea why but any tips on public karaoke bars rather than the booth ones XD

Oh sorry !

For Kyoto, this place near the station, it has 3.8 rating on Tablelog, and remember when I said 2.5 is average and 3.0 is like 4.5 stars?

This place in Tokyo, downstairs in a building opposite the station, in the basement, full of Japanese businessmen eating, not a tourist place when I went, very under the radar. They also have a satellite store at Narita Airport too.

This is the sister store of the former ranked NO.1 store that is like an hour outside Tokyo on Ramen Database, a website that is in Japanese. Paid by machine at the door, or Suica Card. Remember, if in doubt, top row on the buttons, Top left or 2nd from left at the top row is almost always the most popular and signature dishes. In case it's all in Japanese with no photos. The machines you have to put in cash first before selecting usually, as opposed to selecting and then it ask for cash.

In this place, pick the dipping ramen, the one where the soup comes in a separate bowl, that is their signature ramen. It's call Tsuekemen.

For a lighter broth, this place from Kitti Katta (the ramen capital of the world where it has more ramen shops per capita), this one is their Tokyo sister store, in case you don't want to travel 3hrs up north of Japan to get there for it.

For Udon Noodles, these are good

I don't know about public karaoke I am afraid ! But if you hang out on the street late enough, you will see many drunk near the station, probably sleeping it off. I think you will need to find a very local Izakaya with an 80's karaoke set up for that.

Get a side dish of gyosza to share at each place, or 1 plate each. They are usually fantastic. The one at Tomita (the store in the basement) was very plum and big I recall.
