Would make more sense if they abolished the vehicle excise duty tax (road tax to you and me) and just included that in the cost of petrol.
Then the government would have a pay-as-you-drive scheme. The more you drive, the more petrol you use. The more you use, the more you buy. The more you buy, the more £££ the government gets.
Oh, and if the govt. is reading this... it's my idea, and I want 10% of all profits thankyouverymuch.
