Those of you with OcUK OEM 2700K Official OC Results thread!!

I have an OCUK 2700K OEM running on Asus P8Z68-V and managed a stable 5.ghz @1.41v :D temps maxed at 71C using Corsair H50 single fan. Ran 10 runs of IBT and all is fine. Not sure if temp is to high as first time since 486DX days that I have used Intel

But your CPUID had show as "Rejected by CPU-Z 1.58" (not validated) and it look photoshop to me !

managed to reduce voltage to 1.375 and temps down to 68C. I will need to upgrade to full watercooling for any higher.

Obviously not stable seeing as your last post was 40minutes before this one lol ;)

I'm interested in hearing about the longterm users - It seems the more I play with this chip, it needs more vcore to become stable!

For example - last week 4.8Ghz needed 1.32v (fully IBT and prime stable)- This week I'm having to use 1.36v!.

EDIT: Scrap that - forgot about my memory upgrade doh!

General concensus seems to be "+70oC is a bit high" +75oC limit most people are recommending on full load.

I used IBT on my 4.4ghz and the temp change from Prime95 to IBT was as high as 10oC. I have my H80 set to the lowest setting. Wont be possible past 4.5ghz which is a shame. Very quiet atm.

Ran IBT no problem, Will run prime overnight to see, but I think Ive reached the limit until I get better cooling. Is running above 75C safe? with AMD I never went above 50C

I already answered this:

The maximum temperature you really want to aim for is around 70°C, perhaps 75°C tops.

:)

My chip got to 5ghz to :) Running a bit hot in IBT, 82oC. Screenshots not intended as proof. IBT did fail eventually, but high temps probably not helping (set to high, 8 cores). Prime95 running diffrent test for the last few hours hasnt had any problems. Dont want to stress test more until i improve cooling, everything i use my computer for is working perfectly.

I have a h80 cooler, any suggestions on getting my temps down another 10oC? Its in a HAF-X case. 2 very high RPM fans on the rad?

Is it normal to have upto a 10c temp difference between core 1 and core 4????

It varies between chips of course, but generally yes it is normal, I believe someone on here had a 13 degrees difference! Don't worry about it.You could try a re seat of your cooler with new paste if you are really concerned, but I doubt it will make a great difference.
