I just set the CPU at 1.41v so it runs at that always even when not loaded as I'm used to the old methods of clocking.
Does the maximum recommended voltage level of 1.425v also apply to the 2500k then? Would be good if it was
I dont see why not.If it applies to the 2700k.
Yeah thats what I thought... Makes me a little more confident with putting my volts up a little bit past 1.4
As long as you keep your temps well under controll, you'd have to be very unlucky to have any major problems with your cpu imo!
Gibbo, I had ordered 2700K OEM and you better don't let me down if it doesn't get 5GHz with ease. I look forward to get it on Tuesday (Delivery) and will post back here. I hope it clocked well with my same motherboard. Only one way to find out.
PS WARNING - ZOOMEE IS TEH SANDYBRIDGE NOOB
Only just noticed Gibbo - Is that just 5 minutes of prime?
Your chip just sounds like the typical 2600K to be honest, I've had two (don't ask) and both did 4.6 100% stable - I'm like you I like total stability.
So question is are these OEM's something special or is Boostjunky and undercover OCUK employee helping Gibbo to sell stock.
I'm tempted by 2700K OEM but think I'll await more feedback from Bulldog etc.
