Do you think EA are hurting the pc gamers having to install this client to play the game ?

Any people having any issues with origin

side note

If you have bought Battlefield 3 what version did you get, standard, limited edition or the physical warfare pack ?

i got the limited edition because i believe the weapon unlocks that the warfare pack give you will be available for free later, am i right ? if so how do we unlock them ?

thanks

No. How exactly would they be hurting anyone? It's their game and they can do whatever the hell they want to. Why shouldn't they have their own download service? They're a business out to make money, just like any other company. Did steam hurt anyone when gamers were forced to install steam just to play HL2? Nope.

No. No problems at all.

No problems here at all. As is usual on the internet, people bitch and whine when things don't quite work as they would like. When they work as expected people keep quiet.

Also if you look through all the pages of the BF3 thread. It appears 90% of the people who have issues with bf3/origin once the game is installed are the Origin downloads unlocked via VPN. Most of us hard copy users may have a slight install issue but once game is installed and patch in installed it works fine. The punkbuster issues are from the download crew as well. I have not had one single issue at all, not even one punkbuster kick in over 6 hours of play. Not even had a server with lag yet, but hey that might all change :)

No problems with BF3, Origin I don't mind but I'd rather have all my games on one d/l service given the choice.

I feel similarly. Origin works okay downloads are fast and the even the battlelog thing isn't so bad.

But yeah, I'd rather have just one app to control my digital games. Or at least have some way to integrate them all.

My experience of Origin and BF3 are that they are both broken for me at the moment.

What makes it worse is I had zero problems with the BF3 beta.

I don't like Origin, i have had quite a few problems with it in the past. However with regards to Battlefield 3, All it is is a small white box which appears when i open the game, i don't notice it at all.

I got the physical warfare pack (no idea what benefits it's gives me) not really a massive fan of that Origin program, it's very buggy and slow compared to Stream, whatever happened to buying a CD, installing a game and playing offline?

Not had any problems, the only thing i dislike is, i hate having loads of things in the background. Fare enough with steam, its just steam and the game. But with bf3 its browser, origin and the game. Other than that small niggle iv had no problems

Game is same as CoD, but with a tank, played 4 maps now with no transport or attack helicopter and no jets in sight.

Game is a very disappointing, wish I hadn't of bought it and got Batman instead.
