Thoughts on BF3 and origin ?

Game is same as CoD, but with a tank, played 4 maps now with no transport or attack helicopter and no jets in sight.

Game is a very disappointing, wish I hadn't of bought it and got Batman instead.

Are you playing the right game? BF3 has transports, attack helicopters and jets.........

BF3: great.
Origin: No real issues.

Battlelog/Server browser: Kill it with fire

Never had a problem with connection on BC2, rarely had troubles until the second half in the beta. BF3 comes out and I can barely select a server to join (constant "connecting..." message "failed to connect to server").

Not a happy bunny.

hmm had my first really quick blast.

Fun game and will only grow in enjoyment, as I get batter and learn the maps.

However, getting in a right mess, as they have chanced the button mapping, from BFBC2!

However origin and battle log.... is a bit crap. Well Origin is anyway.

Simply perfect. Game installed perfectly, origin updated etc and runs happily in the background. Just had my first few sessions and the game is amazing, extremely well optimised, it is like an orgasm for my ears the sound is unreal! Also love the battle log, very slick!

I'm glad you've discovered what makes a first person shooter a first person shooter.

If you want something different perhaps a racing game might be worth trying?

Bf was more than a humble FPS, there was a commander there were assets to destroy there was open spaces and now all there we have is a tank per map.

Conquest is as linear as rush lol.

My thoughts are that this should be merged with one of the other 17 threads on Battlefield 3 in the first two pages.

In a way I agree.

The maps are tiny compared to BF2 and BF2142.

They are trying to appeal to the COD gamers to much and its ruining what was a great series.

Battlelog is total **** to put it bluntly. Every single time I try to connect to a server, it just says "Connecting...". Also, I hate the fact, that when you are looking for a server, you have to scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page before all the servers appear. That was never a problem with an in-game server browser.

Can't even see any chat on Origin from my flatmate on the same network. Also we can't even join the same server or else one will crash out.

Origin isn't an issues for me, since install I have barely noticed it. Love battlelog. Never had any connection issues or crashes. I alt tab in an out a lot and can browse between games with no problems

Don't know what all the fuss and whohaa is around origin tbh

My thought is easy.

Im one of those gamers that like to enjoy the game that I am playing not sit there and think
about every little move that I make, and Battlefield 3 is just not the game I thought it would
be, there is to much going on, to many planes and tanks and heli's and all that kinda stuff.
Yeh the game looks brilliant and stuff but that for me isn't enough if the gameplay aint
very good.

Im not really feeling it either. Though it took me about 10 hours to get into bc2 which i now love.

BF3 looks very pretty.
Really not liking how people can STILL spray me from 1000m away with a SAW and be accurate. very disappointing.

Also how long it take to recover from a rez, you're just dead again before you can even move.

sniping is dire

@ origin

everytime i leave a server i have to restart my pc or i cannot get on another server which is a bit annoying

It because when you close the game sometimes it wont close properly because
of Origin just start your task manager and end the process called bf3.exe
it happens with mine as well and that fixes it everytime m8.

BF3 is awesome, never had to scroll all the way to the bottom for any servers to appear
