Thoughts on my suit - Got the biggest interview tomorrow

You'll look fab! Good luck!

You've put more effort into it than a lot of people I have seen, I really don't know why people are ripping the urine

Not only have I given my opinion, I have given him advice on what I think would be better suited. He can take this on board if he wishes. I didn't just mindlessly slate him.

The interview is tomorrow though. Hes far better off prepping for that than trying to go back and change the shoes his mate selected for him in a last minute rush?

It's too late to change the shoes, I'm confident with everything I've bought as I've spent time into preparing in the best way I can. The shoes seem inappropriate, but it's kind of late for that . . besides everyone has different opinion a number of people said they look great.

I've put in a lot of effort, so I'm confident that I'm looking my best . . but hey I've done the difficult part. I just have to prove I'm the same guy they spoke to :)
That's all very well, but you've told us you realise the shoes aren't suitable.

Now where's your confidence going to be, when you wear the suit - at the back of your mind, you'll probably be saying to yourself "are people looking at my shoes, because I look like a red-spikey-thing-on-boob in them?"

That tie is just rank, too. If you can, get a tie to match the colour of your eyes - so if you've got green eyes, get a dark green tie, etc.

Good stuff, looks sharp.

I like the shoes personally, most 'suit shoes' you get are outright boring and smack of just being another drone, something slightly different is never a bad thing IMHO, chicks will notice it as well ;)

Good luck with the interview :)

Going out the door knowing that you look great is a big confidence boost.
I'd say that's 10% clothes, 90% attitude personally.

The king of HIGH-FIVE's has spoken. Life is good again.

Can I get a high five? :D

Hi there..........

The suit, tie and shoes are fine and you will look very smart.

BUT it's you they are interested in NOT your fashion sense and judging by the effort you have put in, they will be lucky to get you.

Just remember to be yourself and remain relaxed, enjoy the situation and be positive.

You obviously know your stuff which is half the battle, the other half is selling you as a person, as I said just be yourself.

Good luck, you'll be fine.

For the love of god please do not drench yourself in aftershave. It doesn't impress anyone.

If your BO doesn't smell, don't wear aftershave at all. If you know you're going to smell, then only a little bit around your neck will do. Try wearing something smart like Dunhill Persuit, not Lynx or any other crap. And not all over your blazer jacket, inside your shirt, around your etc. That'll put them off.

why didnt you put it on and then take the picture? looks fine really, if you want me to be brutal then you probably could have a picked a nicer tie and shoes, but thats just my style preferences.

You will however look perfectly fine for the interview theres nothing bad the interviewer would pick up on. good luck for your interview :D

I don't have bad BO. However, my suit still has it's 'new smell' . . any ideas?

I plan on wearing my usual winning combination, ted baker body spray and some Lacoste red, which isn't over-powering at all.

Edit: I feel very relaxed . . hit some HIIT and some weights at the gym, I should sleep well tonight. And I picked these up . .

I was very nervous about everything, but now I feel so chilled out, it's a good feeling!

What a day . . . I got out in the morning and traffic was a lot worse than normal, any how I got to Meadowhall Train Station only to find that I didn't have my train ticket on me (I felt like a complete twit!) I did all my checks before I went out and I left it on my desk. I rushed back going into panic mode and I woke my dad up to race to Sheffield Train station, the traffic was even worse this time! Took a large detour and I managed to make it there JUST on time! RESULT!

I got to the train station and I was greeted by a lovely Z4 M, we sat in and we had a nice chat on route to the plant. I toured the whole factory and it was amazing seeing a lump of steel manufactured into 'made to order' Mini's. We walked past hundreds of Mini's and it was great seeing how everything was put together!

I went into the office and they introduced me to a new technology they're introducing and there was only one student there, I had a lengthy chat with him and I was asked to design an application for them, I did so and they were impressed. I showed them my portfolio of my best work and they loved it. The only downfall is I'll be doing most projects on my with the team leader, so the pressure is on. And there only one student there, working on a number of projects. It's a very small dedicated team looking after a number of departments.

I'll get a response for tomorrow, their only concern is my relocation and tbh I've been having a few doubts, as the placement wage doesn't pay much and it's fairly expensive to live down there. It's for a year and it would be a great perspective for my career, so I'm willing to go through the struggle.

Oh and I managed a perfect half-windsor knot, I looked great today, received a number of nice comments :)
