Three missing girls found.

I was reading that the women had rape babies, but the kidnappers killed the male ones and only let the female one live, so they could rape her later. Basically they had a basement rape farm.

Horrible. But no matter how horrible I'd prefer to see the justice system work effectively rather than a media / internet lynch mob. In the heat of the moment like this, when news is news and constantly breaking, a little reflection is required. Guilty they may be, but we do not throw suspects on the fire within a few hours of arrest.

The Birmingham 6 are a good example.

I'm just glad that, despite their ordeal, the victims are freed back to their loved ones.
 
Somewhat unexpected stick for Zodar. Somebody asked 'how do these people rationalise it?' and he gave a plausible explanation.

Just look at the world around you - a huge number of people commit immoral acts and a key factor in their decision making will be "what's in it for me?" / "can I get away with it?" (i.e. weighing up the rewards against the risks) as much as "is this morally wrong?". It is blindingly obvious that throughout human history different people have different moral codes and regardless of whether we can rationalise behaviour based on our own personal moral compass, that doesn't mean to say that others can't.

3 woman missing for 10 years in the mans house, isnt it pretty clear that he's kept them there..

worlds apart from an IRA bombing.

people like this should be set on fire and people like you should be made to watch

Not at all. I'm putting the view that voicing an opinion is one thing, and passing judgement is another.

Heat of the moment is a powerful thing, hence your comment 'people like you' is especially relevant.

I'm not passing judgement on the people involved, more the process that has taken place on this, and doubtless many other, discussion forums so far.

Take a moment and think. Let me put it another way. Trial, jury and conviction in court of law. Evidence, not emotion.

So, apparently people did notice things and did call the Police and the Police then failed to properly investigate.

Easy!

It has been a widespread standard and accepted practice across all Human societies (even quite "civilised" ones such as classical Greece) throughout all of human history right up to the current day!

In fact, it would be fair to say that if anybody is out of step here, it is the handful of Northern European derived societies that currently regard this practice as being unacceptable. Of course since these societies are in calamitous decline (Largely through their own self destructive political philosophies) I am sure that normality will be resumed worldwide within a couple of generations!

So it looks like the two brothers are innocent. Proof if ever you needed it that reactionary posters saying they three of them should get the chair or be tortured should wait until the rule of law actually investigates what happened.

I'm not telling you anything. Cleveland Police are, who I suspect have a bit more information on this than the sensationalist media.
