Three weeks of hard work

you not thought about a chain quaife differential with reverse built in ? nice and light , ive got one on the trike and it works well
and what ya doing about the ram air ? wont you lose bhp without it

I looked at the Quaife kit but due to engine location etc it would not work in my application.
Unfortunately you lose the RamAir when the engine goes in a car.I do keep eyeing the supercharger kits though :D

Cool :D

What do you do for a living then?

I work for Toyota GB in the technical centre. We prepare all the press vehicles and troubleshoot cars for the dealer Network (Lexus as well).

Tiny update

Pretty slow progress with this I am afraid, usual stuff getting in the way.

I have been working on the car for a fair while now and dont seem to be making much progress.

I have had the prop made by a company in Feltham(very good and turned it round in 2 days)

Had to fabricate a mount for the centre bearing for the prop and finally got it all connected up

So I had to have a drive didnt I :D poor quality I am afraid taken on a mobile

@ Perywinkle I think we may have met a while ago at the Parrot Inn probably one of the first meets I went to.

Splendid, coming on nicely by the looks of it. On another point not sure why anyone would take a Hayabusa and feel "I think it needs more" and stick a supercharger on it! Gotta love petrol heads.

 thanks guys appreciate the comments wasnt expecting that.

Housey you can never have too much power :D

Nathan a work colleague who owns an Ultima said it sounded like a milk float

Its certainly been a labour of love, but then I am a perfectionist so a lot of the things I have done are my own doing I suppose.

I'm trying to decide on a kit to build a duratec based car at the moment. What made you go for a westy over the other kits?

I'm tempted by the cheaper kits to save a bit of cash but cant help thinking it will be false economy in the long run.

Loving the full roll cage by the way.....so tempted to add one of those to the shopping list!

Yes I am creaming my little pantys :o
I finished in the top 10 in the World racing the Busa/Cat mod for RFactor & can only dream of owning one.
You Sir are as Cool as ****

The main reason I chose Westfield over over manufacturers was the quality of the GRP and good support from the factory. The owners club is brilliant for support too.

I owned a X/flow Westfield before (a 94 model) which was very good too.

I know other manufacturers are probably just as good now (before I get flamed by owners of other kits) but I also prefer the look of Westfield to the other sevenesque clones out there.

Whatever you decide to build take a good look at each manufacturers premises and ask questions on the respective forums.

Obviously decide on what sort of budget you have as well then throw it out the window as you will go over it :D

If you have anymore questions fire away(mail in trust if you want to do it off of here)

thanks, may drop you a mail.

I've considered the kits from quantum and even Zero (which i believe is a sub division of robin hood cars). I like the look of the Zero kit which is a bargain, but why is it a bargain?!?!

Westfield has a proven chassis which every one knows is good, i just can't find any comparison reviews anywhere.

Looking good - so you'll be IVA'ing it then I assume - seeing as the cut off date for SVA is 28th Feb.

Got mine through SVA in October - actually been able to get out in it quite a few times even when it's been cold (and wet roads are immense fun ;-)
