Those storms up north look like American style supercells! Is anyone here under one? I would be on the lookout for large hail and tornadoes
The one which passed over Bath area and then into London at the start of the heatwave was somewhat like those American supercells, some torrential rain with it not sure if anyone had hail.
It's probably real I saw similar last year from newcastle looking north west it lasted for 2-3 hours constant lighting in the far distance across pretty much the whole horizon.I am in a whatsapp argument that this is fake or sped up

There are likely to be some thunderstorms around the UK this week, some potentially quite intense. However worth putting things in perspective. The setup for us in the UK is not on the same level as the severe weather environment affecting parts of France. There, high instability/CAPE overlaps with very strong deep-layer shear. Convergence zones, drylines and orographic triggers were all helping storm development. ESTOFEX issued a Level 3 for a reason.
