They're amazing.
I was woken at 5:45 this morning but didn't get up to have a look outside. wish I had done now.
Havent really seen any thunderstorms, lightening down here in London myself and ive been here near on 20 yrs now.
Growing up in Canada, mother of god we used to get some tremendous lightening and thunderstorms. I remember one lightening strike that when it hit, counted it to be about a mile away was so brutal it actually shook the house. But i was in Canada last summer and we got some really hot, humid weather...hit about 38c in the day but late evening i was sat outside my brothers house having a cig and what a lightening and thunderstorm turned up...was pure awesomeness.
I hear what you're sayingWhy do we use the word thunder? Without lighting there is no thunder? So surely more sensible just to only say lighting?
I hear what you're saying, but sometimes i have just heard distant thunder and not seen any lightning, so some might say "i hear thunder", lol.
