This thread just shows how meaningless the expression "Innocent until proven guilty" is to the average person.
Hardy some random of the street breaking into the family home, raping/killing the girl and then hiding her.
Real likely...

They still have lower murder rates than us even with Anders Behring Breivik.![]()
You do know that there is only 5mil peoeple living in Norway and over 60mil in the uk? so it's bound to be lower.
The police have talked about this before; they mentioned it first from what I remember in the Tracie Andrews 'road rage' case. They choose the individual to make a public appeal, statement or interview on for the purpose of forensic analysis of their reactions. The questions posed are deliberately designed to provoke reactions that help find people who are lying, additional pressure from the fact that the piece will be aired on TV works against the liar.
Many.
You can't possibly hang or execute this individual or any other; you simply hope they live to be a 100 at least, for everyday they spend in prison is another day longer in a place worse than hell, prison has it's own justice for people who hurt children.
The grandmother has been arrested. Shocking twist!

I disagree. As a higher rate taxpayer I have to pay a lot of money to keep scumbags like this in prison. I'd rather the money went towards hospitals, schools, infrastructure (roads/railways) etc.
It's not internet bravado when I say I'd be much happier if he (and his like) was tried and went straight to a firing squad / gallows without passing go.
Not really that shocking - I was wondering if that would be the case...

this guy looks like he's very guilty, and would deserve the most harsh punishment a civilised society can administer
the problem with your suggestion is that execution is not humane
let me ask for your opinion on this, what percentage of error would you accept in a judicial system that used capital punishment?
ie how many innocent people, erroneously proven guilty and executed, would you see as an acceptable collateral for such a system?
Where are you guys finding out this new info? On the BBC website it just says a man and a woman.
I really wouldn't be surprised if the Grandmother was in on this. She hasn't looked upset at all every time I see her on the news.
Has anyone looking under the Uncles bed yet?
