Possibly but that wouldn't stop people having a go anyway..they usually say it when they have strong evidence someone has done something untoward.

He doesn't sound altogether convincing and the questions are really quite strange.

Didn't he originally say he walked her to the tram stop, while others said they saw her leave alone... but now in the interviews he says the last time he saw her was when she walked out the door?

Perhaps she was better concealed..a search is one thing, taking all the floors up etc is another. He couldn't have left her anywhere obvious. Sadly after the period of time there would be other signs of a body than finding it lying about.
How would the police dogs miss it :/

Were they cadaver dogs? Haven't seen the reference to dogs but dogs that find bodies have to be specially trained. Alternatively he might have had her somewhere else, though its a little unlikely unless he wanted her back in the house for another reason.

Who in their right mind would leave their 12 year old child with this guy or any guy who had been in prison this the same year, more to this which will come out in the next few weeks, no doubt blaming the schools, police and local authority rather then the parents and relatives.
whats the betting that hes charged on sunday, and in front of magistrates for murder on monday, then remanded for trial for months, welcome to a life sentence mate

I think they said one of them was a spaniel, these are normally used to find things like drugs and bodies I think
He's so guilty it's not even funny.
Thanks, does seem that they would have found a body if it was a cadaver dog, but perhaps they didn't have access to somewhere or didn't look.
Very much so. A whole lot more crap is going to come out of this. I imagine there's a lot we don't know which involves more than just him.
