TICKETMASTER IS ****

I Agree with some of the above, the worst thing about the gig are the touters who buy them to sell them at inflated prices straight away. This ruins it for true fans of who ever is playing! The site they sell them on, mainly the bay should ban the users for it, especially if their on sale the same day the tickets are.

The process for online gig/festival ticket selling needs a complete overhaul. We too readily accept overburdened servers crapping out over demand, ludicrous reselling at overblown prices the instant the gig sells out, random admin/booking/credit card/delivery charges that seem to be pulled out of a hat without explanation etc. etc. Nothing seems to have changed since tickets first went on sale online.

You have to hand it to Ticketmaster... They fleece you for admin/booking/delivery/stiff-the-customer fees on top of the tickets. Then they own GetMeIn.com for people to resell the tickets (which TM just made good margin on) and TM take a % of the resale value. Somebody must be laughing all the way to the bank...:(

I don't understand why people are paying so much. They said themselves in their press release it was '2 shows in Manchester before starting their world tour' ... for the prices people are paying they could buy tickets, flights and a hotel to a European gig. Whatever happens, with them having an opportunity to make some money, they won't just be doing 2 gigs in the UK, that's for certain, there will be a national tour.

I wonder how many of those tickets were purchased by form auto-fill bots with CAPTCHA solving capabilities. Could make a bloody fortune!

I expect sites like Ticketmaster who experience massive peaks in demand like this to be able to cope with it. It's not like they didn't expect it now is it?

Why would they bother making investments in proper load testing/performance management when they know all the tickets are going to sell-out anyway?

Touting will never go away, even if you made people queue up for them from a ticket office you would still get people buying to sell on.

£55 for a band that's made TWO albums! Ian Brown is a terrible singer live, don't believe the hype :)

Funny you say that, I saw him live back in 2006/7. Terrible isn't the word.

I imagine TSR as a band though is a completely different kettle of fish. Tip for anyone not wanting to feel out of place, you need a larger than your size rain jacket or adidas sports jacket and long hair.

Touche.

fwiw I can name probably 10 TSR tracks better than Fools Good, mr. commercial radio 1 listener:p

Regarding the high eBay prices there's a 'movement' on Facebook . Join eBay with a fake email , then bid an unbelievably high amount to **** the touts off. Some of the bids are in there millions lol
