If someone told you they suffer from time blindness what's your reaction?
Says someone who has never had any cognitive issues due to illness or injury. You can lose track of time while doing things and not notice it go etc but there's no such thing as 'time blindness', it's just being too thick to set alarms and remember things you're supposed to do when you do them.

stock shoes because they are not vegan
I think that's always time to clean the carpet, or throw out the door mat. Will they know what time it is when you pop through their letterbox?

There are cognitive issues that cause things like bad short term memory loss, one of my friends has periods where he can turn an alarm off and continue with something he's already started as simple as putting the milk in the fridge, and forget the timer ever went off or what it was for, he's not thick or daft but has a medical problem that can screw with his memory and perception of time especially if he's got any infections or is overly tired.
IIRC concussions, and various infections can cause issues like this that might result in someone suffering from it intermittently for anything from hours to days, whilst some other conditions can cause it longer term.
Basically anything that affects how the brain function can cause all sorts of weirdness with awareness. it's akin to the delirium/delusions you can suffer when ill* where you might be out of it like you're on acid, except it's affecting you in a more specific and limited way.
*Fairly common with severe infections, or even just "mild" kidney ones from memory.
If you have any kind of personality quirk these days, people will line up to tell you that they think "you might be on the spectrum" and "you should get diagnosed."Wikipedia doesn't have an article on time blindness. Google results hints of it being on the spectrum. That's something I don't get though - why is it that everyone is on the spectrum these days? Surely it's not just in my head as it seems to be diagnosed left, right and centre these days, where back in school in the 1990s, there was only 1 kid in my entire school. He had to have his own security because he kept hitting everyone else.
TBH this has become quite normal for me. Forgetting what I needed when walking between the kettle and the fridge. I'll put something back in the fridge, walk back to the kettle, and realise I also needed milk from the fridge. Same when walking between rooms or breaking concentration for a phone call/message. I rely heavily on talking to myself, counting fingers and other short term mnemonics. The cancelling an alarm thing? Constantly. I write something on the bac of my hand if it's really crucial, as I'll see if every 10 minutes.

I think I'd just politely end the conversation. 2023, so it's awesome to be a victim or afflicted with something, but I don't need to be listening to it.If someone told you they suffer from time blindness what's your reaction?

Rural France is the same unless it’s a shop opening or a sporting event.Don't live in the Med then as there's nothing that happens on time there !
